4 years in

4 years in and you would think i could identify issues by now. Lol. I thought maybe my experiences would help those just starting out and pick up a few tricks along the way.

I run 3 rooms all the time. Veg/flower in same area using a modified flo n gro bucket system. I started in soil but moved to hydro within a year. Room # 1 is 11x12 grow area uses 4 sun system 630w cmh, 2 spyderfarmer 4000, and 3 sun system 315w cmh's(which i never turn on.) 24 buckets with the 55 gallon resevoir it came with.

Room #2
25x20 grow area with 82 buckets. I run it in 2 sides.I modified the flo n gro control buckets to handle the extra buckets by drilling extra ports and upsizing the pumps. The reservoirs for each side are 2 55 gallon drums linked with bulkheads, for a total of 4 in line. Those reservoirs are fed by a 250 gallon resevoir and another 55gallon resevoir filled with RO by a hydrologic 300 and a hydrologic 200 to keep them full of clean water.

Room 2 uses 2 36k mr cool units used to cool 16 spyderfarmer 4000s and 4 hlg550s. Co2 is a natural gas burner with all the necessary controls.

Room 3 is 4 sun system 630s. I uses 10" fans to circulate the air throughout the rooms. I know I'm leaving a bunch of stuff out..but wanted to introduce myself. Oh, this is a basement in the Midwest. Odor control are several 12" phresh scrubbers and fans..and an ozone generator in the ductwork set on a timer. The rooms are sealed so ozone doesn't cause issues. It's mainly used as a precaution. Room # 1 had a case of root rot, which has since been remedied using hygrozyme and h202. (34%) That was a 1st and it sucked. Anyway, glad to be on board! For those curious..these 3 rooms put out about 40 pounds every 4 months. I keep 2 mothers at any given time

I would give tender parts of my anatomy to have even half the space you do. Maybe one day I can roll around in my own 40 POUNDS!!! :hump:

Wow, That's a lot of power.
I'm currently in a 60 amp service bungalow.
I really have to pick and choose my power consumption.
What's the service at your place?

As you said, it's a lot of work.
Is it just you two, labor wise?

I'm amazed.
My dream basement Reno you have right there.

I have 200 amp service..but serving the 2 rooms off of a 100 amp sub panel. The other area gets power from a 40 amp breaker that was put in for my gas range in case I ever wanted to switch over to electric. Needless to say, that won't be happening lol. Yes, it's just the 2 of us working on it. Less eyes, the better. We dry trim using a resintek and a triminator mini.

I see a 200 amp upgrade in my future.

Must be a challenge with the work and homelife/relationship situation.
Best I have now is my wife's blessing.
After helping one go hand trimming,
She was out for the helping.

Trimming is def not her favorite, nor mine lol. She's great about it all though. I can't complain. Some days I do dread the thought of working on the rooms after I get done with my real job, but she has usually handled the checklist by the time I get home. Usually, not always
