4th Grow--OG Kush & Gorilla Glue#4--

Got some seeds that just sprouted about a week ago. Old paper towel method always works. I got the seeds in BC and who knows how legit they are but I was told they are feminized and the two strains are gorilla glue #4 and og Kush. I have them in a 5x5 tent with two 200 watt cob lights turned way down to 15 percent power atm

I'm only growing two because I plan on taking clones. I had some success finally with cloning and if these are actually good strains then why not. No clue how long I'll veg for but I may try throwing in a scrog(never tried this before).

Hopefully get some people along for the ride and any tips or opinions are all welcome. It's only my 4th grow so I'm yet a wee grasshoppa. Hell I finally decided to ph my water. Been using 7.5-8ph tap water. Can't wait to see how she goes.

Couple pics just a few days after sprout below. I had them in my room under a cheapo 45 watt Amazon led but the og started stretching so I decided to move them to my main light in the basement and keep them warm with a heatpad.IMG_20181113_110751.jpg IMG-20181114-WA0003.jpeg

I wouldn’t bag the seedlings. I wouldn’t want to have them harden off to the environment once I dropped the bag at a later time. I’ve barely grown in anything but hydroponics so maybe someone with coco experience will tell you something different or if it works for you.

Are you using that light for flowering as well? You can get a cheap HPS setup for 100-200$ on amazon.

Ya I was thinking the same thing I actually took the bags off this morning when the lights turned on. The humidity in my basement is in the mid 30's so I was a bit worried.

I don't want on buying any new lights this time around I was hoping these cobs would do the trick. I was able to get some decently dense buds with it last flower.

now that u see leaves don't be afraid to feed them ...lightly 200 ppm .
Beauty sounds good, I will wait till they dry out a bit more. The bags kept them pretty damp. I don't actually have a TDS reader so maybe I should just go 1/4 strength of recommended dosage? I will be using Parts A+B of Advanced Nutrients Sensi Grow.

Roger, you could fit a 1000 watt in there and pull around 2 pounds. 45 watts seems low to spend 3 months of time on but if it works for you that’s all that matters. Good luck bud.

I had the seedlings under the 45 watt at first. In the tent setup now I have one of my two fixtures going. Each fixture is 200 watts so 400 watts total. I'll get the second fixture going eventually but for the little girls right now one fixture at 15% power.

I was able to get 380 grams give or take from 2 clones under these lights at 70% that suffered some serious over feeding, led burn and ph issues. I'm hoping with the corrected ph and proper feeding that'll improve, and keeping the lights higher to avoid that burn.

yea check out my seedlings at 9 days
Ya those are nuts for just a little over a week in. My main light has only been above the seedlings for 2 days now and this is the first day without the baggies so I probably slowed the progress.

Roger, Missed the part where you wrote you had 2x 200 watt Lights.

Skip to page 2, there’s a post with a link to the book “ A practical guide for the soiless grower”. A book recommended by a respectable DTW grower. I’m about to be running coco Auto Drip DTW so I have to go through a similar learning curve and this book is great. There’s a couple other books as well.

Growing slow as ever not much to post about today. Sprayed the top of the soil with a very diluted feeding of sensi grow A+B and then watered with 6.4 ph tap water. My low temps and humidity are a pain but I can't really throw anymore money into this grow.

Another update hete. Added a defuser I had laying around and some open jars of water tohelpt raise the humidity since I was hovering around 30%. Slow progress but I think things are moving along. Any opinions on the leaves? They seem a little crinkled. Would this be due to low humidity? It's definitely not heat stress my tent doesn't go above 26 degrees. Maybe too cold when it dips down to 18?

I upped the nutes just a tad and the lights strength. Still can't figure out this og kush and its spiral upper leaves. The gorilla glue was showing some similar symptoms but it's gone away now. IMG_20181203_110858.jpg IMG_20181203_110839.jpg IMG_20181203_110904.jpg

Yeah I watered them right after I transplanted. I think that's a good idea though this time I'm gonna stretch this out until the soil is totally dry. Let the roots work a little harder.

Well I figured it out the whole slow growth issue... My timer was set wrong so my lights have been running 24/7 for at least the last 2-3 weeks man do I feel dumb. How bad is this for them at this age? No wonder the leaves were all deformed they've been under so much stress. Ahhh I feel like an idiot. I had a feeling it was bad but I'm always in bed with the light schedule I set. I went in my basement to reset a fuse and I noticed the lights were still on well passed midnight.
