4x2 Veg Tent - Feedback on LED choices

Recently purchased a budget 4x2x6 tent for veg only to start a perpetual grow and wanted to get some feedback on a couple LED options I'm considering...Plan for veg tent is to run 6 4gal square pots, transplanting up from solo cup >> 1 gal >> 4 gal and using the remainder of the space for clones.

Option #1: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07LBJG927/ref=psdc_14252961_t1_B07CGRVWFF
(Like the 4x1.5 dimensions and 200w)

Option #2: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07LB7JNZF/ref=psdc_14252961_t1_B07CGRVWFF?th=1
(considering running two of these, the white and general use for more hanging configuration options, same wattage as above but more configuration options)

Option #3: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07RSRX1RS/?coliid=I30NBPVI3GYS0R&colid=2EOS524K61G4R&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it
(seems like good par coverage for the price)

Option #4: Blurples with comparable par/light foot print

Initially I thought that one of those 4k 135w QB kits would light up the 4x2 nicely but when I found the Duralux LEDs on amazon, I got thinking that running two of the 2x1 footers gives me more configuration options and I could get one with seed/veg light and the other for general use.

Are you into diy? I’ve some some great 2ft double row Samsung strips in 4000k for veg that have never been used

I'm intrigued by DIY because I know you can put together a great light at an affordable price but for this 4x2 tent I'm looking for something already assembled.

Driver, strips/board, frame and wires. No soldering needed. For the frame you could use some cheap aluminum angle/bar from Lowe’s or Home Depot. What looks a little better is 8020 aluminum (t-slots). But depending how hard you wanna run the strips will determine whether or not you need heatsinks

Appreciate the input.

Im gonna stick with a pre-assembled options for this standard sized tent, leaning towards the mars hydro over the 4x1.5 Durolux.

I will be building some sort of stand/tabletop though after seeing the prices for wire shelving online.

For flowering, you should have 240 watts with good lights and closer to 400 with the cheap stuff. Mars has a bad reputation here, their latest offerings are a step in the right direction, but the jury is still out.

Personally I’d go for two HLG 100’s, or two SpectrumKing MLH100’s. But that’s more on the $$ than those units you have quoted. I have a SK CC100 (slightly different spectrum than the MKH100, but the MLH series is a “Veg” light) and I really like the IP65 rating factor, and really minimal heat.

That same “DuroLux” one you posted is made in a 4ft option too, that should be solid and affordable.

Personally I don’t think it matters that much for veg. The mars sp 250 or whatever. The rectangular one would be better suited to a 2x4 than the square one.

If the light is just for veg you could use that, or screw in led bulbs if you wanna go even cheaper.

For a 2x4 tent you could do 6 strips (three 4ft strips) and a 240w driver. Or 8 strips for terrific efficiency
Honestly, there is little incentive to go past the 1 double row 4 foot per 100W, slapping an extra one on there may add a fifteenth to your light output but little more...
That being said, with the 4 footers I think the sweet spot between capex and output and penetration, would need to be the double row3x 4 foot on a 320W driver... that is (was last time I rant the numbers) the most photons you are going to swing for your dollar in F series builds.

I would, if you could, add a fourth strip for better spread, My 3 strip units are about 45cm strip to strip centre. Where my 4 strip units are placed 4 in a 60 wide fixture. I use 2x4trays, you can imgine how the wider fixture is able to throw light at the sides of the tray compared to the narower one producing virtually the same amount of light.

If you need to cheap out, maybe look at the single row EB Gen 2 sticks.

ANC, do you see any merit to running 2 of the 100w durolux (1 being the 5500k and the other being general use light) instead of 1 longer fixture? This could give me 200w for approximately $130 and more hanging options in the tent. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07LB7JNZF/ref=psdc_14252961_t1_B07CGRVWFF?th=1

The plan is get the veg tent on a standard 8 week cycle and I've allotted 1sq foot for each of the 6 plants (pots are squares 9.7inx9.7in) with the remaining 12X24 space for a propagation dome. Kinda expecting the ladies to reach approximately 2ft in height after some topping and lst in the veg tent depending on strain.

First time I see those, looks almost exactly the same as the new Mars ones, also made from cheap reflector material.
Watts is what a light consumes.... generally has little correlation with how much comes out the business end.

If you were just planning on vegging, you could take two single row F-series strips hang one on each side of your tent and put a 120W driver or so to feed them.
should be cheap as chips and a top-class veg light.

Thank you for that, W go in lumens come out! Thanks for the tip on the double f-strip, time to start sketching.
