My kid was the customer. LOL. Hard core gamer. Yet his passion is 3D rendering and programming. Was needed. Melted his first 3 customs under load. Just one of 17 I built for him or his friends.
Well 3d rendering is one of the few valid reasons to overclock in todays day. Even that wont need OC when the 3000 line comes out in a couple weeks. Triple the 2080ti performance for half the price, sign me up!

Need to move this conversation. Relation is direct but unknown.

LOL. Crazy heat and voltage. Unstable. Launches today I believe. Wait for users to get it. Not Manufacturer and sponsored reviewers. Almost useless as home GPU. Most CPU's are throttled by CPU'S. Glad when I don't need to keep tabs on my kid anymore. My COBS and LEDs keep me confused enough.

Sept 17th actually, and you must have been looking at the 3090 which is the titan replacement, the 3080 and 3070 are where its at. Im jazzed to see more actual data but initial hands on from legitimate reviewers say the hype is real. Ill stop derailing the thread now. :)

6oo watts would be more than enough for a 4x4 grow especially if the right hood was used. Hell I had pretty good luck with less watts in a 4x4 using a 315 and a couple of CM led boards.
It will grow weed, sure.. Just not much of it.. a 600 watt hps in a 4x4 is about half the par I'm growing with..

Do you use c02? Wasted light if you don't? 20oz plus is doable with a 600w in 4x4 without c02. Plants will only use so much par without the help of c02. I've hit 20oz just with a simple top. And I only hand water coco once a day. So should think that could be smashed with more effort.

Im not sure this is right.... im not expert.. but i ran a 1000w open system 4x4... and a 600w closed system 4x4 w co2... the 600w w co2 was better and more
If that happened it wasn't because the 1k tent had too much light. It may have had too much heat or you couldn't fullfill other needs. Healthy plants should be able handle more light per 4'x4' than a de 1k hps is able provide for the area.

i wasnt really saying ur exceeding ur dli at that rate... someone had said u can run a 600w but u wont get much yield... i was saying iv run 600w in a tent and 1000w in a tent and u can beat the 1000w w the 600w. u just need to close the system... add co2.. and remove the glass from the hps... it was a bigger yield... grams per watt is a different story i forget how that came out... if ur closing ur system u got to put a coeficient infront of ur light wattage... lets say a 2 coeficient... for the dehu and ac... so the 600w closed system was really pulling 1200w as opposed to the 1000w open system that might only have an inline on it... so in the end they both probable come out similar grams per watt on a small grow like that... kinda why i like the LEDs in the closed systems... u can certainly control ur ppfd easier w LED but u can also reduce that closed system coeficient by adding or reducing heat btus w the light wattage

I cab get Iluminar IL8x fixtures (670 watts, 8 bars) for $800 s unit. Cheaper if it's substantial order. I get substantial discounts on all of their products

That's not much light at all, that's about half of the led wattage I use..
Really? For a single LED light id say that's fairly decent? The light got tested, here are the results..if I could potentially yield anywhere near these figures then that's more than enough for me considering how cheap it is to run, I'm no bigtime grower... just personal for me,been spending waaay too much buying it off dealers

I've got a lumatek 465w Zeus pro. I think the American brand same company is called photontek. But can't find it so might not be called that lol. Depends are you using c02? The 465w is designed for 4 x 4 area. They do a 600w but reccomend 5 x 5 for that.
Hey, I’m really considering the Photontek 465 for my 4x4 tent, how do you like it?
