I am in the process of making Gary's system as well i tried to make something similar more so like the stirponic system but I really like the waterfall effect, after much research I decided this dude really knows his stuff. I was off with the bulkheads 3 inch is the way to go and in order to get a good seal i needed the square bins, commonly used is the Food Ez Stor containers , pain in the butt to get in my area especially for a good price ended up getting some 8 gallons for a 4 pot station plus 1 for the rez for about 20 $ each. All parts seemel unique, even the 90 ° 3 inch pvc elbow had to be ordered at homedepot. Bulkheads can be expensive , what are your thoughts on using uniseals instead?

I'm not well versed on the topic of uniseals and bulkheads.

Seems to be majority of the opinions. On amazon I found them for about 20 for 2 so I ordered from Gary for 15 for 2. He ships surprisingly fast.

I will be growing in my garage. I plan to insulate my garage door. I do park in my garage and use it for storage. The only bugs in my garage are spiders and an occasional Silver Fish. It is not temperature controlled but, I can change that with a portable A/C. Is there anything that I need to do to further prepare?

Few questions:

I would like to know if this quantity of nutrients is enough for a single run of 4 autoflowers?

I'm not in position to invest in Distilled Water for every nute change. I think as far as making it easier to maintain PH and PPMs. I would like to know (more like confirm) that if I was to get a trash can (55 gal) and threw some air stones in it a few days before a nute change would that work for me as far as getting the chlorine out and avoiding the extra work of playing with the PH and PPMs?

TIA

I hope you all are doing fine out there. Quick question:

Would y'all recommend insulated ducting from the exhaust fan to the exhaust (dryer vent) outside?
- I intend to run a 8" exhaust fan and filter, 6" insulated ducting, and exiting through a 4" dryer vent. If this is a bad idea do let me know. Regardless of fan and ducting size I will be limited to my 4" dryer vent.

TIA

Hey All, I have finally gathered all the equipment I need to get started. I have just one issue. How do I read my city water report? Once I get an idea of what my options are as far providing water.WATER1.PNGWATER2.PNGWATER3.PNGWATER4.PNGWATER5.PNGWATER6.PNGWATER7.PNGWATER8.PNG

Is this all you need to grow?

I will tell you that my needs and your needs are going to be different. The things that I have collected over the last 6+ months are what I wanted to start growing not necessarily a need. With that said you can get started with much less. I've seen folks on here get started with way less and achieve great results. Let your budget be your guide.

How much was the system?

If you're referring to the RDWC, I got it from PA Hydroponics. I don't remember what I paid but, on their website it is listed for $480.20.
