@MedicGrow
Medium- 100% Perlite (I use rockwool cubes to start the seeds and place them directly in the buckets to sprout.)

System- Homemade auto feed and drain Hempy (DTW hydro) 3.5gal bucket system. 30gal RO reservoir/30gal feed reservoir with a FloraFlex manifold using 1/4" feed lines on 8" drip rings mounted under the bucket lids and 3/8" drain lines.

There's 4 Granddaddy Purple X Bruce Banner crosses and 2 Original Glue under the cups I had to put in last night since I managed to let my other two seedlings get way too dry yesterday getting this all setup. Plan is to let the Glue veg 4 weeks once they pop and then flip the tent.

Currently @ 24"/40%pwr/320ish umols. .9Ec 6.2ph. 83F/70-75RH.

The light and tent are new to me so I'm sure there's going to be a learning curve during the grow...

Decided to go all in so I ordered a couple of these for the tent.
A bit pricey IMO, but hopefully I can check air circulation issues off the list from now on.

I'm trying to get to the point where 1 grow a year is all I need to keep my jars full, so I'm hopeful this setup might get me there. A 4x4 just wasn't enough and the 4x8's were just overkill and too much $$$/hassle to maintain for what I need.

I raised the Ec from .9 to 1.5 today. That's way outside my comfort level for feeding the Glue seedlings once they pop so I threw together some old parts to make a 5gal tap water rez for them.

I just started using these 4" rockwool cubes this grow. I used to use 1.5" but they weren't big enough for the drip ring to soak them so I was still having to hand water.

Thanks to @bk78 for mentioning the company. (Growtek)

Now with the 4 inch cubes I'm able to keep the seedlings wet automatically watering for 15 seconds every hour.

The Original Glue popped overnight. One looks promising
20221224_112350.jpg
The other one not so much
20221224_112604.jpg
So just incase I dropped another in a 1.5" rockwool cube
20221224_112631.jpg

I think I've been running the tent a little too hot and this what's causing the seed issue, so I bumped temps down to 80F to see if that helps. 40% power @ 20", 300-350umol. Seedlings are 100umol under the cups.

The GDPxBruce Banners look like they're enjoying the new environment though.

And I found somewhere to put the sticker they sent me along with the Fold 8. The RO reservoir has some bling now

Now that is one serious sticker! They didn't have those last year!
Thanks.
I was surprised to see it when I opened up the box. I tried putting in on the back wall of the tent overnight, but the RH in there is too high so I figured the rez was as good a spot as any.

I didn't like having to drop the temp on the veg plants so I went and bought another humidifier and set my 2x2 back up for seedlings. I'm going to use it in the future to pop seeds in the 4" rockwool cubes and then transplant those into the buckets in the 5x5.

There's a 100w/3500k/uv/ir lm301b board in there @ 100umols. 75-80F/70-75RH.
20221224_151620.jpg

And the 5x5 is back up to 38"/60%pwr/300-350umols/84F/68-72RH.

I think this setup might finally give me everything I've been looking for these past 3+ years.

I can't believe I let myself go this long without buying a Par meter until now.
I now know that for the last 3 years I've been blasting my plants with waaaaayy too much light.

The 100w in the 2x2 is only drawing 22.4w. I normally would have had that thing turned up a lot more and hanging closer on earlier grows. I can't really comment on the other tent since its all new, but I know back in the 4x4 with my other lights it was the same story. Too much/too close.

I'd highly recommend looking up
For $135 I think this is going to be a real game changer for helping to get things dialed in correctly.

It looks like the Glue seed I didn't think would make it just might.

So I got another bucket together for the backup seed I put in yesterday incase it sprouts.

I decided to move the 4 GDPxBruce Banners out to the corners so the 3 Glues will fill in the center once they're ready to move in. Threw my other runoff pump in there so I can now run straight short hoses from the buckets, hopefully eliminating some of the air bubble backups I've had in the past. It's really nice having the extra space compared to a 4x4. I can fit in all the things I need and still have more than enough space to move stuff around. Highly recommend it if someone's on the fence about getting one.

Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas!

Checked the phone app and saw the tent temperature was up to 85F which is right on the high end (or so I thought) so I went in to see how things we going.
I haven't seen my plants praying this hard in a long long time. Surprised considering they got topped about 8 hours ago.

I checked leaf temps and they're around 81.8F, so I bumped the exhaust kick on temp up to 87F to let them enjoy the heat.

Digging the poster on the wall, did you print that out yourself?

Well I guess the plants are starting to transpire...exhaust fan kicked on last night while I was sleeping. I didn't have the inlet opened enough so the tent sucked in causing 2 of my clip fans to fall off the poles, cutting the front face of one of the GDPXBRUCE Banners....

Not a great way to wake up...fml...

I'd top those couple times to see what I get.
I may end up topping the damaged one again.

I topped them once already. Probably all I'm going to do on these.

I've done multiple toppings in the past and although it makes the canopy look great, I like having fewer/larger colas opposed to many/smaller ones.

Got another much needed accessory made.
I bought a 0-10v dimmer switch off Amazon, used the comms cable that came with the light, and thanks to a couple splices and a small piece of velcro I now have 0-100% dimming capabilities without opening the tent.

Thanks again to @Star Dog for the post here on about making it. Saved $200 not having to buy the medic grow controller and much better than just 40/60/80/100% power options.

Went ahead and clipped the fans on the light too so they wouldn't fall again overnight while I'm waiting for the ac infinity fans to show up. Things are starting to coming together.
