6 X 6 how to get 3lbs

Ok so its my first grow ever im really excited as I did a lot of research but still got more to do just like any apprentice.

I want to grow 3 pounds in a 6 x 6 area , description of my TO BE setup grow below:

*****I will show pictures of the whole setup/grow for better visual as soon as all my stuff I ordered online gets shipped here*****

I want to yield 3 pounds in a 6 x 6 area doing a soil grow inside a metal shed I am building, its already made just got to put it together when it comes in from shipping. Ill dremel out some holes in the thin metal for the the 2 intake fans but one set to exhaust (8") an my inline(6") ac infinity fans in a push pull setup. Of course the intake filter and carbon air filter for clean and ordorless air. Now my setup is a bit of a hybrid because its outside in so-cal where its been surprisingly nice an even temps(65-70 degrees farenheit) but im covered by 3 lemon trees that provide nice shade for my whole shed and the trees may even raise c02 levels since my intake will be there. That aside I will be trying to make the shed pretty air tight an the base was made of basic 2 x 4's for the framing and 2 sheets of ACX plywood for the flooring. I plan on using vinyl waterproof vinyl on the floor and then I need something to make the walls reflective either with silver foil like product or white film to reflect all the light. Ill be trying to get a super soil set up and mixed, and then really the rest is just:

tips/ideas/advice that any of you guys can give me to yield 3 pounds and for first time growers..I know im ambitious for the first try but I want high quality DANK DANK ass buds and 3 pounds. I did some research an found critical kush is a canidate for my grow.

So yeah I just was seeking answers to my question of how to yield 3 lbs of high grade dank buds and to do a review/grow journal... Stay tuned.

Set up a ScrOG net, and four 600w's would be really nice there. Get a good soil recipe. 3 lbs should be pretty easy in a setup like that.

Then, how many plants are you wanting to grow? 4 plants in 15 gallon pots would probably be my choice. Or maybe 9 plants in 5 or 7 gallon pots to flip to flower earlier.

Strain? Idk. Greenpoint's "Dream Catcher" did very well for me on yield. Its Blue Dream x Stardawg. But this is only in regular seed form. I cant recommend any fem seeds, cause I dont grow them. If going with fem seeds, probably the better option for you, I'd look at White Widow, Northern Lights, Blue Dream. I've never grown Critical, but it doesn't receive the best reviews as far as quality.

@T macc thanks for the reply. I did forget to mention I will be scrogging and Im going to be using some kingbrite leds(3000k spectrum with 660nm reds and the 730nm ir and UV 2 boards one that covers 4 x 4 flower and the other 2 x 4 flower. Im limited to 6 plants max. Interesting point about the semi SOG method with the 6 plants.... Or the 4 plants in 15 gallon pots you think each one can yield half a pound at least in 15 gallon, under those leds and assuming my ventilation and feeding are in the right range.. Cause I was gonna do RDWC but im gonna be in a shed thats outside so the idea of that kinda turned me off. I was thinking of normal dwc buckets 4 plants in that 6 x 6 space but then Id need a water chiller(south cali can get hot) for each individual bucket UNLESS theres a way to hook up a water chiller to 4 different dwc buckets, without having to make it into a rdwc.... But hey maybe someone can help me out.. Id rather DWC but the problem is i dont want to spend money on separate water chillers taking up 4 different outlets.. If that problem is solved id do dwc and I know id get at least 2 pounds in a dwc 6 x 6

I hope my research pays off because I think I have solid understanding of the lights and their features, ventilation, I just need to learn more about the feeding
But yeah with dwc grows I see people pulling nice yields. I would think because of that fast vegging so people can just turn them to flower sooner

A 15 gallon soil pot can definitely yield a pound. But to the DWC question, I'd think about setting up a 50 gallon or 100 gallon water bucket as a reservoir, have that sit outside the shed, connect 4 dwc buckets to the reservoir using a pump. You can chill the reservoir and all the buckets will be the same. Have the pump flowing in through the bottom of the buckets, have a hose connected near the top of the buckets as a "fill" line; the buckets won't overflow.

You'd need to check the PPMs and Ph of the reservoir and only need to add nutes and adjust Ph.

You may want to throw a tarp over the reservoir to keep it cooler, and it's already in the shade, so may be better?

Since you're in SoCal, get clones; they're around you.

I dont mess with hydro at all, but that's the best solution I got.

Edit: I guess that is RDWC?

Short veg cycles don’t produce larger yields. You wind up with smaller plants that produce less yield. Growers do a short veg cycles with SOG so they can squeeze as many plants in as possible and reduce the total amount of time from seed to harvest. You can get the same yield with less plants that are kept in veg longer.

@T macc yeah it leads back to RDWC lmao, I want to do it. Veg growth is faster so I would use those 2 weeks i saved in veg to veg longer for big ass yields.
Use two weeks of grow and put them to flower...???? I jest it for the first time. Flowering phase is always the same and its given by strain not by you. You can only harvest 2 weeks earlier when your grow phase is shortened.

Sorry my bad now I understand what you mean. Sorry

I think he means, because hydro is faster, the time it would take to grow a single 3x3 plant would be 2 weeks faster than growing that same size plant in soil

Yeah now I see, there is no reducing and gaining at all. He only counts that they will grow faster so they will get 2 “more” weeks on grow...

Yeah exactly your not gaining or losing time growing your just using that time YOU COULD HAVE SAVED and kept the plant in vegetative state in a dwc which is known to help plants veg quicker.
