Should be fine for normal growing. Just check and make sure the lamp is OK for vertical as most are for horizontal.

I have the Vivosun 600W Dimmable. With the duct fan on low it is about one degree celsius hotter @ 24" and about 4 degrees hotter very close to the light. I use the Vivosun 6" 390CFM Inline duct fan and filter to blow air through the light and a 200 CFM booster duct fan at the widow exhaust to pull air through.
You can use regular duct tape as it does not get too hot to touch running 24 hours with fans.
You will see all kinds of wrong info on these but dimmable ballast's Watts are rated on the bulb it takes so 600W takes 600W bulb and you can dim that bulb to lower rating.
So for example you can use the 600w MH bulb at 400W to veg and the 600W HPS at full to flower. Ppl who are pushing LEDs say you lose the ligth spectrum when dimming but these arent LEDs, they are real grow lights.
BTW to get an approximaton of light value in grow area under the light I use a 3-in-1 soil tester that has a light meter to see how much light or Lux or whatever is at certain spots.

I would look into 315W CMH, I run two Nanolux 315W NA and love them, good penetration into the canopy, I run the ballast remote (outside the tent) so temp in the tent are much reduced, and I run them vertical.
My signature shows my latest vertical grow if your interested in vertical growing.

Ya I love my cmh, but 2 cmh would cost a little more.

I have that exact Vivosun kit. I haven't had any issues with it. Works great in my 4 x 4 flowering tent.
