I have an 6x3x9 room for flowering, any ideas on grow style to maximize yield 600w hps will be adding 2 1000w equivalent leds that draws 132w each from the wall. Active intake and exhaust fan. Strains are heavy yielders 5 gal pots living organic soil. Goal is a LB or more. Also have an veg tent i may use for veg/ flower as well. Height and plant size isnt an issue any advice on an continuous harvest cycle would help. Walls are white haven't added any panda film yet.

why not run 1000W hps?
That was kinda an thought would be cheaper to replace my ballast and bulb with 1k HID any ideas on plant count i have a strain thats known to pull almost 8oz in a 5 gal. Also should i upgrade my exhaust fan to an 8in im currently running an vivosun 4in exhaust fan. Also if i do upgrade to 1000w ill get the air cooled hood mines an wing reflector puts out heat

o yeah 4 inch aint gonna do it for a 1000w. Just to be clear, 6long x3 wide x 9 high? I run 8'' fan for my 1000w. In summer it has to run at 90%. winter i usually run around 50%. Just upgraded my carbon filters... 10x39's. Should last forever and the bigger the filter the better the flow.

How does 2 600w air cooled hoods sound? Also ive never ran an aircooled hood just connect them together hook a exhaust fan to pull the heat out. How should i run my ducting for it?
This is how i run mine. Fan pulls air through filter, pushes it through light, and out of grow space.

I'd be looking at 2 of these personally.

Or you could just add a 315cmh to your current setup. Lots of options.
Could you drop a link to the air cooled hps you recommend im going to replace the wing reflector with air cooled hoods puts out to much heat thanks.

think im going to go with this 1k hps. 8in ac infinity exhaust, filter and intake thanks man.
Yeah as long as it with physically fit in your space, thats what i would do. Those hoods are HUGE.

If you're going to drop that kinda coin, save yourself some headspace and get the Low Profile.

And yes, they are huge...

40" wide infact. Might want to rethink that...

Yeah he said 3 foot wide room..... Even if that fixture fits, will there be space to get to the screws to drop the glass and change the bulb? That low profile looks dope but he also said he has 9 foot ceilings so head space shouldnt be a problem for him.

I wish their air cooled double ended reflector was as big as the xxxl. O well, i got my new tent and will be able to get my light close to a foot higher than it was, that should fix my light spread issue.

I also find hps bulbs to throw a footprint kind of like this.

HPS.png

Sort of an oval footprint with a hot center. For good coverage from a 1000w he will need to hang the hood so the bulb is parallel to the short walls which will likely mean a 90 degree ducting bend in and out of the hood. If he runs two 600's, he can just run them in a straight line and coverage should be great. 3x6 is an odd space to try to light up with a single light.
