I want to get rid of these huge black ants that keep popping up and pincher bugs just roaming around. I've tried everything from Home Depot. any recommendations on what might help get rid of these

Benificial nematodes gets rid of ants if they are in your plants soil. Pincher bugs generally eat rotted plant debris.

As a side note and food for thought....
When you grow outdoors you will have bugs.... there is no way really around it. I hate seeing growers instantly freak out and spray poison on their plants. Not only does it harm benificial bugs but people should not be smoking plants sprayed with most insecticides.

By "pincher bugs", do you mean earwigs? I've never had a problem with them. Ants do farm aphids, but the aphids are the problem, not the ants, themselves, they are easily controlled. I recommend a Azamax soil drench and foliar spray, while in vegetative stage. With 70 plants, you should have researched and planned for all types of problems. Now, look toward bloom and harvest with fungus prevention.

here's my favorite ... praying mantis ... I caught this guy eating an earwig this morning, they start with the head ... but in all honesty, earwigs are not worth treating for unless you have an absolute infestation ... JJ's right as always, growing outdoors, expect bugs .. ants, use DE or set out some traps

edit.. I noticed it was @ganga gurl420 that mentioned to expect bugs ... but i'm sure JJ was thinking it too ... lol

Many years ago i had around 10 plants in pots which i was bringing in and out of the house. Ants decided to invade and live in my pots. I used cinnamon added to water (these do not mix well) and it flushed/killed the ants away. Worked and they didn't come back. I read that the cinnamon dries them out or something, cannot recall.

I just googled cinnamon. It is also a rooting hormone. Thanks for the tip! It says it works well for ants. I'm about a week out from harvesting my autos. I did see a couple tiny caterpillars a few days back and I've been going through my buds rather neurotically. (I'm kind of an overkill grower, need to learn a bit more finesse). My garden store sold me Mercenary (rather expensive and I'm all out). But it had a nutmeg/cinnamon smell so this explains alot! I heard you can use Neem Oil during flower phase. Sorry @TopDogFarmz, didnt mean to hijack your post with my own issues! I just wondered why people arent using Neem Oil.

Are they doing something to your plant? They may be beneficial
They are just roaming around the plants are in the soil .... Well in that case I shall let the pincher bugs roam the area.

I can give you a rec but understand this is a systemic pesticide that you do not want to spray on to your plants .however this is something used by pros and I've had amazing results with it.you can spray it around your plants every few weeks and it should slow down and activity to a halt.Talstar p. The way I got introduced to this product is by a good friend who was dealing with mites on an indoor garden and couldn't get rid of them with anything organic. He grab this Talstar and went ahead and sprayed about 90 plants indoors all is equipment and the room then two weeks later did it again to my surprise the mites did not come back in 30 days or even a year later. I had never ever seen anyone conquer mites still to this day he's the only person I know who actually got rid of them completely. Of course he was not able to take any of those plants to bloom. But he did clone them all regrow them and then go to bloom. Even so I'm sure that those clone still had some amount of pesticide in them but I can't fault them as I actually packed up and had to leave my house if I had known I could have done that I probably would have done the same. Good luck I hope it helps

Thanks it’s good to have an Arsenal at the ready. Lol. That’s a scary story. I’m going to try ladybugs and praying mantids first and see how that goes.
