Got a legal grow. Limited to 5 plants.
7x 13 foot space. Drywalled. A little short at about 6 feet.

I have 3 dedicated 20 amp that each run 3 600 watt hid's
1 dedicated circuit for a 5000 btu and 10k btu,window ac.
This space is on one end of a basemet. Has an ante room of about 7x5 that has a window and is where the passive intake pulls from.

In the process of sealing it up and sending all the warm air away from room.

The lights are cooled with inline 6 inch 400 cfm fans. Theres is one fan for every 3 lights, pushing air to keep positive pressure hopefully.

Each plant is in an independent aero tub. Homemade. About 9 gallon resevoirs. 500 gpm pump send water up to a pvc manifold and sprays net cup. Started in root riot and then rockwool.
2 gg4 s1 which i hope is a good strain. Its supposed to be from the creators of gg. Got from harvest mutual.
3 trainwreck arcata cut. Whatever that means. From medicino 20 20 or something got from great lakes genetics.

Running flora series in some hard water. 400 ppm base reading.
Running at max dose cause im always afraid of feeding less and getting less yield ...

Heat was a little high until today when i added 10k btu a/c.

Its gonna be a little tight in there. Will probably have issues with height and lights.
Should be fun.
When i do 1 4x4 scrog with 2 600's i pull about a pound. Hoping i get 3 pounds with this new room.

Lets see,,,,, im pulling air out with 2 400 cfm 6 inch inlines. Probably gonna suck right out with fan and push right outside into a carbon filter. Doing the push outside thing to save space inside.

Trying to keep it sealed pretty good to keep negative pressure and draw from the ante room.

Any questions comments opinions are welcome.

well shit. I failed this journal... Been so busy with stuff, its taking all my extra time and energy just to grow the stuff...

Im about to flip 12/12. Was wondering how you felt about when to change the bulbs to hps..
Also should i leave an mh in a couple of them to help with resin production or is that a waste of yield?

If you want to limit stretch then run the MH bulbs for the first few week, maybe three depending on strain. After the stretch then switch to HPS bulbs. Then when you are in the last 2 or 3 weeks switch back to the MH bulbs for extra resin.

You dont suppose this will hurt the yield any?
I've got the 2 gg that are huge and my 3 trainwreck are smaller. Maybe i should do hps above them? Maybe the stretch would help?

Hey renfro!
What do you think about freeze drying for drying/curing??

Do you think Eds losing his mind? Maybe just selling out

its the real deal on freeze drying. Family bought one in April and just did my last harvest with it and it smells and tastes amazing. Even some neighbours/friends said it was the best tasting weed they had ever had. I have a pic of a Glookies harvest I did from seed (paper bag dry method) and one from her outdoor reveg harvest (harvest right medium freeze dryer) The high was the same but freeze dried tasted better and was a much less harsh smoke/vape.

What model is that?
Whats the cost?
Thanks for your input.
Can you tell,me a little about your method?
Do you just cut, trim, buck and freeze dry?

I saw a fb vid where the guy said the texture is like popcorn or astronaut ice cream. He didnt likebit for rolling joints and blunts. Said it was better in the bong..... Just one guy in one vid with hia opinion.. Had me thinking, what if i invest in all this and some people dont like the end product...

Medium Size Harvest Right Freeze Dryer (fits roughly 900-950g wet, over double that with their Large size unit)
Cost was $6300Cnd but upgraded to oilless pump ($1500 alone, but well worth it and highly suggest the upgrade)
I will cut buds off the stems and either hand trim my buds or use my TrimPro (TrimPro mostly now) Tent grow with no bug issues will go right into the freeze dryer or get a quick wash beforehand and use a salad spinner to whisk away a good chunk or moisture. I just use the default setting but will stop the cycle before it’s officially done, which is usually 16-17 hour mark of when they went in. Add another couple hours if you wash them and are very dense Indica like buds. Stem tends to stay frozen and need longer for the process to complete itself. The texture is like styrofoam peanuts and almost as light, but will regain moisture with like 5-6 sit in a paper bag in my basement. This will also stink your house to high heaven with how intense it can get. Found my overall weight loss was better then my old paper bag method by 1-4% greater overall weight.

Here’s some of my Blue Dream in my grinder, and takes no effort to grind

So is this the "scientific model"? Programmable? Or,just turn on and turn off?

it’s the food one you want like this one here. The medical version they sell are tighter spacedr racks and would force you to cut your buds down even smaller to fit on to dry. As you don’t want them to touch the heat element or you toast your buds, I still haven’t figured out the programming, but from other board users who have one. It seems like you can only set the rack temperature for the final dry cycle. Like I said I stop it before it has run its complete dry cycle at usually 16.5-17hrs. Some dried I had to go longer because some of my harvest from outdoor plants wouldn’t all fit at once. So I actually froze my buds after washing them and then sometime later place them on the trays for the freeze dryer. Since I had washed, then frozen. The whole sublimation/drying process took a bit longer because of the extra frozen moisture content within.(roughly 20-21hrs) Not freezing buds after washing, and going straight on into the FD were fine.
