Hi I came from the newbie thread. This is really impressive, I didn't know such pretty stuff existed. I think you can solve world hunger and grow food for everyone.. You might be that good at growing things! :)

Hey there supa, nice grow, sounds like your onto it,be nice to know how you go with that solar setup, sounds sweet.I got a question for you as you seem to be a little more clued up,im up nrth and im keen to know if you have had much dealings in mooving plants into outdoor soil grows, and if so how do you go with the long term sativas?I am keen too go down this route, but need to know the basic light schedule for moving a 6 inch to 1 foot female cloned bush outside in say anywere from oct-feb. without it going into premature flower first.I have done this plenty with short termers, under 18/6 lighting, and done well, the resut is always the same, they never stay in veg, even in summer.Any thoughts?

Hey supa, thanks for the reply, thats a shame about the lack of sativas.Theres nothing quite like standing in front of a really nice 14 foot sativa.Yeah clones are the way to go,i find if you can get your outdoor dialed the possabilities are astounding, and in soil when its good ,the results are, imho, superior in taste, and potency.I have been doing a bit of looking and the general go seems to be get them into 12/12.If things are dialed they reckon you can get a good yeilding 4-6 foot plant from a 12 inch clone, taking 3-4 mnths to finish. So i guess if there kept in 18/6 they would take longer to go into flower and would prob do quite well if one were to put out a 1 foot square bush.

I have had heaps of sativas indoors but yeah not many indoors.... Personally i prefer indoors as i believe as you can control the conditions better you end up with a better product in terms of taste , potency , smell ...

srry there supa, cant agree,i have done comparisons side by side, same strains, recirc, coco, soil, inside and out, over a few years and the result is always the same. The outdoor soil smashes it every time,in the smell, taste, potency and definatly length of high.If you havent done that much outdoors how would you know what you can achieve?try prescription farming mate, you might be suprised.

I have done plenty of outdoors just not sativas..Last outdoors season i had quite a few sativa dominant strains but just not years of experience as I've had with indicas so i can't give a accurate opinion or statistics on them. As a person in the soil testing and geotechnical field I've have a great understanding of soils. So in reference to indicas i have to disagree and say controlled environments is far better for growing than in an uncontrollable situation like outdoors

LOL,ok ,ok,not trying to derail your thread. But if you had the experiance, outdoors,or going to outdoors, even with sat dominant indies, the answers to my original questions are EZ!No matter,i found a lad whos knows what hes on about,so relax, your still the man...at your place.I guess we agree to disagree,on whats better,it may come down to just experiance and climate, but if you cant equal your indoors outdoors, something is definatly wrong, for a pearson so esteemed in the geothechnical field.
