I've got a mate whose a gardener (legal kind) and he said the same thing.... Also, I was in holland at the weekend and someone there was saying the same thing too...... I always thought it was 12/12 only to be honest......

Again, it's 'people say......', but the thought is that shortening of the 'day' will trick the plant into finishing quicker, but at the same time you lose a certain amount of yield.
I have yet to see proof of a side by side grow to show this however.

As I have abandoned my grow journey now, and have been posting quite a few questions here, I will indeed post harvest results when and if they come. Finger crossed
