Advice on bubblegum photo fem grow

Hi everyone,

This is my second attempt at growing indoors but the first serious attempt and I could use some advice on how things are going and what changes I should make to get the best results.

The short version of my first grow: Planted 6 random bag seeds, 3 were female, all grew strange and had a terrible harvest and I was never sure it was bad genetics or what I was doing,

This time around around I bought seeds from a seed bank: BubbleGum photo fem & Critical photo fem and I bought some additional led lighting from ebay because a budget is non existent.

I decided to germinate and start one of the bubblegum plants first to see how it went under the lighting.

Quick specs are as follows:

The plant sprouted on august 6th and everything was looking good a couple of weeks in as far as I could tell. These pics were taken August 19th just after its first decent misting:

Fast forward a month and while it is growing and bushing out a bit, its growing very compact with nodes, close together:

I haven't topped this plant yet for a few reasons,:
A: It will be the first time doing so and it terrifies me
B: I am not sure if it is too short to top given the amount of available vertical room I have vs horizontal.
C: I had planned to try a single plant scrog with this and have a couple of nets to do it with but thought i would need more air space below the net than I could currently achieve.

Any advice or help on this grow would be awesome.

Edit: I know the pot is way too big and so i was watering it with a spray bottle and misting a small circle for the first 3 weeks.

She looks good.
So no nutes, just the Scott’s soilless?
Your Rh is super low. I try to stay at least 60-70 in veg. Flower I drop to 50-55.
You don’t have to top if it scares you. You could just bend her over and tie her that way.

Thanks for the reply, I did end up topping it the day before and its bouncing back pretty well now. I haven't gotten around to getting any nutes because it looked pretty green and happy to me so just the Scott's for now.

You are going to need some nutes soon. It is better to start them off on nutes sooner rather than later. If you wait until signs of deficiency start to appear you are already too late. You will always be playing catchup. If you are going for bottled nutrients you can start them off slowly at say 50% of the suggested dose and work your way up.

What nutes do you use? I have found it hard to find anything appropriate on the shelves near me, I will most likely need to buy online anyway.

For my indoor plants I use Plant Magic Oldtimers Grow Organic, Bloom and PK 4/8 with a touch of Epsom Salts every other feed. For my outdoor plants I use Tomorite and a touch of Epsom Salts every other feed. Both work equally well.

My soil mix is a pre bagged one called, Jack's Magic, mixed with Perlite. It is good stuff, I usually start feeding after a month of growth in Jack's Magic.
