The connected ballast will warm up the room some. The hood is nice tho. Sun System makes a similar hood, but need to be connected to an external ballast. Going with the external Sun System hood and ballast and light, it may cost 250 ish. Maybe.

I just rather have an external ballast, but nothing wrong with the one you posted either. A good exhaust system will be needed for sure.

They do have some models with the ballast separate but I don't really have problems with heat and I like the reflector.

If I was going to spend 250 I would just get another Maxibright cmh ballast, phillips bulb and focus reflector. I am still waiting to hear back on the shipping price but I bet it will around the price of the light so it will probably be around €100 with shipping.

I thought about that but I have a 5x5 Green Qube tent that is 7 feet 2 inches tall so I should be ok with height. I am trying autos for my first time this run and usually scrog photos so height usually isn't much of a problem

I ordered some de cmh 630 ballast from alibaba. They quit working before the first run was done and had to replace them with a growers choice ballast to finish my run. They offered to warranty them but the shipping back and forth was more than I paid for them.

Sun system flower power fixtures are cheap I bought some recently for veg, the store I went to was near Detroit and has great prices I paid 169 a fixture and they threw in growers choice bulbs. If anyone is near Detroit and looking for lights that stores prices can't be beat, I got my gavita de 1k fixtures for 239.99 with a bulb.

Yea I always figured the warranty would be a hassle if they dont pay to ship it back.

That is a damn good deal on the light. I pay €280 for a Maxibright ballast, reflector and philips bulb.
