And she's gone

So, if you read my thread https://www.rollitup.org/t/almost-lost-her.1056798/
It will bring you up to speed.
Well, in my infinite wisdom I decided to move my portable ac unit inside the grow tent thinking that it would run more efficiently, as well as being able to use the units on board thermostat for temp control.
Well, these were both true, and things were going very well.........until.
Saturday July 3rd around 9pm, after having been celebrating 4th of July weekend with a few friends, and cold snacks, I went inside to check on things.
Upon opening the door to the tent room the first thing I saw was the interior temp thermometer.
100 fucking degrees at least as that's as hi as the thermometer will read. Humidity 95%.
WTF?
tour open the zipper to find the ac exhaust duct had come undone, and was exhausting I side the tent. No idea for how long, but she was all but done for.
I got everything back where it should be, but she never fully recovered. Perked up a bit, but damage had been done. Dead or dying leaves. Absolutely no new growth, and roots looked like burnt ramen noodles.
So today, as bad as I hated to I pulled her out.
She's had a rough life, and was time to end the suffering.
Started the germination process on another seed today.
Will foil tape the fuck out the exhaust duct this time, or maybe move it back out of tent.
Just really like how well it controls temp 8n there. Except of course when the exhaust came loose.
Sorry didn't take pics... Was to disturbing for some viewers.
But I'll keep updating. Starting with when she pops and we'll go from there.
Keep on growing.
:peace:

Wouldn't have killed her just yet. Hard hit with overgrow and a heavy recharge shot would have had a good chance of bringing her back. I just had recharge bring a girl back from root rot.

Trust me it was not an easy decision to make. But this girl had such a rough start from the very beginning. Took FOREVER to germinate, and then grew sooo slow, so I made my choice. New seed cracked today. Got everything cleaned sterilized, and ready to go. Gonna start her tomorrow.

I feel ya. Any of our girls not making it kinda breaks the heart a little. I got one that may be facing the chop her fist leaves grew ok but the rest has been this gnarly little growth. She'll get another week before the decision is made.

20210710_200700.jpgand in the system she goes.
Was gonna wait till tomorrow, but I figured if I get her in now the seedshell will have more time to soften so as to come off with no help (hopefully).
So, day 1 has begun. Saturday July 10th 8pm.

Over time you learn that when you do things half ass it will bite you.

That's a pretty bold statement. Have you never made a mistake?
And I'm quite old enough to know better than to half ass things. I made a mistake. Plain and simple. But I guess the perfect people of the world would not understand that.

Sorry for your loss @Jimeeb . Sorry if I missed this but how old was she? I keep my fingers, legs, arms, everything but my eyes crossed that I don't make a fatal myself. Time is money.

Well her size didn't show her age. She grew sooo slow for 2 months. Started doing better then one thing after the other. It sucked for sure. But new baby should be making an appearance any time now. Maybe even when I get home from work. Fingers crossed.

only one seed because I don't have a plethora of seeds. But I agree with you. And if I had more I would do it.

Well, yet another set back. First seed didn't sprout, so after 5 days I went in to investigate. Tore open Rockwool and there she was exactly the same as when I put her in. But when I touched it she had turned to mush. So in the midsts of contemplating hari Kari I realized that she was too tight in the Rockwool and not getting oxygen. So here we go again. This happened 5 days ago. Started the germination process again only this time with much better results. She germinated in 2 days. Put her in on the 3rd day and 5 days after she came out of the package she's getting her first serrated leaf set. Now if can just not become the cannabis angel of death I think she's gonna do great
.20210718_100836.jpg20210718_101049.jpg5 days from start of germination.
Sorry. Pics are a little blurry. I'll get better ones next time.

I couldn't do it. I have large overly rambunctious canine that on more one occasion have considered putting out of my misery, just kidding, but I have had to grab my medical bag many times. He knocked my grill over onto one of my ladies( I grow out doors at the moment) and nearly broke her in half . I went to work, a week of surgery and rehab and the picture you see. Never give up never surrender.
