I want to set up a green house and just wondering how some people set ups look do they use pots do you put your in the ground I built a 350 gallon box to scrog one plant in and was going to put about five more in 30 gallon pots each plant 60 days old when I put them outside last week of may.

I’ve had some. To me it’s not worth it. But airflow is key. Being able to heat it proper is key especially as winter is coming. What’s your plan on heat? I dug down 5 1/2 foot and set up a climate battery. It would keep my greenhouse in northern mi winters warm melt snow off of it and everything. I did 15 to 50 gallon cloth pots.

I did a hoop house 10x20 and framed in the ends and screened the ends off so air would flow through and did all containers. My biggest container was 7 gal buckets in a Hybrid Hempy style so bottom 2 gallons was perlite/vermiculite 50/50 then top 5 gallons was happy frog soil and I was able to grow some monsters but like lordhooha said air flow is key and temps are just as important. As mentioned it’s not worth it unless your going to grow some vegetables and I wouldn’t go so big on the pots that a waste of soil IMHO just do more smaller plants in that same space. I was able to grow some blue cheese 9’ tall in those 7gal buckets and only used the 5 gallons of soil so I saved a ton of money not buying all that soil but if you have free soil and lots of space then those big pots are fine. The only thing I liked about the hoop house is it doubles as garden storage in the winter

Trying to get set up for spring not going to do anything in it in the winter just store bulbs for plants and soil but I ant to grow in the spring I was going to use hanging oscillating fans for air movement and am I take fan for fresh air I was going to use a shade cover to help with heat

Climate battery? Geothermal type heating never heard of it. I was thinking of running air underground and coiled over septic tank. Warm the place with shit!

They have geothermal heating for house where they go into your basement drill somewhere between fifty and seventy five feet in to the ground and use piping to keep your house at like 68 to 70 degrees constantly very cool stuff have seen Amish houses like this

I had geothermal in my house and my grows in MI. Climate master tranquility series 5 wells 175 ft each. Closed loop setup for yhe house and the grows. It would cool the grow as cool as I wanted using all of 40 watts summer, winter whatever. Heat would use about 280 watts even in the coldest winters the house and grow would stay at 73 where I set it. Never called for stage 2 or emergency heat.

I used sun shades in the summer since I had some more delicate plants in there that didn’t like all that heat so I used a 30 or 40% shade cloth and it helped a lot. I also use a sulfer burner if needed but getting your air flow setup properly is key it needs to flow through the greenhouse like it would a tent so I believe it would come in near bottom and flow out the top but if you made it so the sides rolled up so the natural air flow would go right though I think that would be the best way. I’ve been modifying mine since I put it up 2 years ago so it’s a work in progress for sure

In MI? A real or tent in a box greenhouse? 10x20 from a box was hard to heat. And airflow is critical here.

Talk about climate change this should be a law to have this in your home if applicable in your area love it
