Anyone ever try one of these garage LED's to veg?

I was about to post a question very similar to this. I used one of these "high lumen" shop lights but it was for very early stage plants and only one grow. They all made it to harvest but that's all I got. Hardly useful. Asking is easier than researching so I'm hoping somebody with the knowledge can tell me or us if white diodes are white diodes across manufacturers and how much they alone limit growl

I’ve seen a few posts on forums with people using them to veg and the plants looked fine. You really don’t need much to veg a plant. A friend of mine uses shitty Amazon “500000w” blurples and vegges monsters before throwing them outside. He gave this one to me a few weeks ago. The light he was using pulled 90w from the wall but he only had the “veg” setting switched on so I doubt it was even 90w755D0B70-B68E-4C58-872A-A99456FF9AA0.jpeg

A friend of mine has a similar led light over his cloner and the clones are doing well. But that's the only use I can think of for it at 11 watts.
That was just a joke, the one in the op is 80w
  • Lumens output: 12000LM
  • Wattage: 80W
  • Voltage: 100-277V
  • CRI: >90
  • Life Span : 50000 Hours
  • Color Temperature: 5000K Daylight
Seems too good for $22

Guess I've got to work on my sense of humor....
My friends lights are pretty dim BUT they work well for clones. The same fold out style as your post, leds and from Amazon too.

The question is are the specs legitimate or common Chinese BS and lies? The fist line says "80W LED Garage Lights 12000LM Deformable Garage Ceiling Lights 6000K" Farther down it says 100w and 5000k! 90 CRI? I doubt it. On the other hand, it's only $20.

With all the marketing and lies on LED - I try not to pay anymore than 1$ per watt of LED
right now I use a 300w LED full spectrum with some far red - that cost $260. And they are dimmable.

I am seeing that these are as good or better than California Lightworks - with the exception of heat disbursement. CLW does better on that.
but paying $850 for 400w is ridiculous. get a small $9 fan.

I used to just use one 26w CFL bulb above my cloner or two 14w CFLs.
I feel like that 80 watt shop light would be over kill and a waste of electricity, that’s if it’s a true 80W.
I saw similar ones at Costco awhile ago and they claimed 80W 5000K.
