are these cheap LED lights a scam?

Hello everyone, although I’m new on the forum I’ve been lurking on it for many years, but just recently created an account because I finally decided to quit stalling and grow my weed, seeing that where I live only Paraguayan brickweed is the only thing available I thought that growing it from the seeds you get amidst the brick is my best hope. Anyways, the economic situation where I live is dire and the access to growing equipment is really hard because they’re mainly imported, but I’ve came across there cheap Full spectrum LED lights that claim to be 60w

I think they’re too good to be true, I would really appreciate the opinion of someone experienced on this matter. I have a small setup 50cmx50cmx1m I plan to grow 1 or maybe 2 plants. Anyways what you guys think would yield better harvest; These cheap FS LED, Regular65k house Led, or plain cfls ? Those are pretty much my only options.
I thank you guys in advance for the attention.

None of these lights will yield anything worth even growing for. Yet alone a brick weed seed. Whats the point. You'll get garbage at best starting with crappy genetics. Then subpar equipment to top it off.

well, the seeds you use will have alot to do with how good the herb is. but if its all you have access to why not? you might not get a pound of chronic but you will learn the method better (or really learn what not to do)

maybe go for better equipment IMO. i have found if you cheap out on the important stuff (lights mainly) then you end up having to buy the proper ones later or scrapping the project

get some better lights, get a fan, if smell is a problem get a filter. most important thing to do is have fun!

No one said anything about crappy genetics, the brickweed is shit because of how it’s processed, southamerica have some nice land races, likes the one in my pic

Thank you very much!!! This is the kind of answer I as a new grower need, unlike some knucklheads trying to discourage me from my home cheap ass grow. Thank you very much for the encouragement. I’ll be sure to keep you up to date with how it goes. You rock, really.

good luck friend. this website is a good resource and some users think they have all the answers. truth is there is no perfect way to do it. i have tried following some folks methods but end up tweaking it always per my preference anyway. try it a few times and the results will speak for themselves

Take a look at this thread about standard house hold screw in LED bulbs. I think you will be surprised/excited by the results you can get from some cheap house hold led bulbs and any questions you might have are covered. Long read, but worth it if that is the route that will work for you.

Enjoy the garbage... just being realistic. That stuff wouldnt even be worth smoking, better off growing outside. Regular style bulbs arent gonna do much at all. Lmao w.e to each their own.

I used to run a 2x4 tent with 200ish watt of sils in three 6 bulb vanity fixtures. Great coverage and produced some nice flowers. For a small hobby sized space, they do a fine job. The thread on ICmag I linked above, has some stunning examples of what SILS can produce.
