Arrogance is a Killer

Arrogant growers are rampant in this industry. Talk talk talk! I hear things like, "I grow some goooooooood shit, dude." (where shit is usually the correct term). Talk talk talk! Recently met someone who had a custom built grow room with tall ceilings and all the bells and whistles a person could ask for. 5 months later he harvested pure garbage! He was so excited about his product, his grow room, and all the fantastic strains he had picked out. He filled the room with plants. Then, became so busy with other things that he couldn't tend to the garden as he should OR he would go the other extreme and over tend the plants. Idiot. But he always talked a big game. Mr Super Grower (hardly).

The moral of my story is: just because there is a super cool grow room and someone talks his shit up as if its gold - don't believe a word they say. ARROGANCE coincides with IGNORANCE. Now his excuse is he was going for quantity. Let me tell you, my personal best experiences without fail in finding good weed is finding the growers who purposely grow for QUALITY not quantity.

Leave your arrogance somewhere else because arrogance 99% of the time is equal to ignorance and any connoisseur will know that. Also, quality over quantity wins every time.

i think we all grow for quantity on some level. i think those people just dont know what really good weed is so there happy with garbage. some of the best growers i know also harvest the most because there plants are the healthiest/happiest. and nice buds blowincherriepie. led?

Yes! we all have met this type of grower you talk of... But don't we has newb grower's have a little space for brag right's when we pull off the first harvest???? But yeah i get were your coming from mate ....ME personally am a 10 percent guy ....meaning i tell no one nothing only way to stay safe if you class each person who knows has 10 percent it get's scary when ya hit 40-50 percent "chance of having your door kicked off" lol....

You know you are a good grower when other growers use your crops as the standard. When everyone you know compares their buds to yours, you are doing the right things.

I dis-agree. The value lies in the benefit to the USER mate. If you can keep people from feeling pain and give them a good night's rest, you have contributed to the well-being of mankind as a whole. What more reward can you ask for? We are one big family, this tiny fucked-up little planet. To serve is reward enough for me.

And I have to add that quality done right will end up with quantity too. It is inevitable when plants perform at their absolute maximum potential that you will have a lot of plant matter (i.e BUDDDDZZZZZ).

My Guru pulls 450 grams a week of the most unreal OG I have ever seen, a tiny space for what is happening and 6 400w HPS lamps on movers. Now he's not my Guru for no reason, kid's got his shit sorted, but I have seen first-hand that there need be NO compromise between quality and quantity. It might take a loooong time to get there for some of us (me being a case in point, sigh) but I repeat, there need be absolutely no compromise between quality and quantity.

Happily, I'm the only one of my friends who has grown, and talking good care of two plants got me 6oz dried. And the plants have a good high, and the bud's a pleasure to smoke. Definitely a nice step above what delivery services vend around here. Now, how would I stack up against some of the real pros here? Not well, I'm sure.

But to my friends...I'm a horticultural god in their eyes! I am becoming legend! It's very amusing, 'cuz I know I couldn't hold a candle to a lot of the growers here. But who doesn't like accolades from time to time?

agreed man, its brutal out here. everyones got dank buds, best around for miles. .. i appreciate great growers that dont need the spot light for that reason. if its really that good you dont need to say a thing!

for me i'm still a newbie, hehe! still got no hps or mh or somethin. still use cfls

but growing gives me joy and happiness, and besides its just my 2nd time again so probably it will not be that good like any of you has here.

and also i want to grow so that when i get rich someday (hoping), i will not have to difficulties or anything and have a never ending supply of weed for myself.

anyways all of us i think enjoys what we grown because we have wasted time and effort for it.

(not for me my plants is like really really taking a very long time to grow).

so basically anyone that smokes indica's for there pain relief properties should stop and switch to heroin because they dont like being high?

IMO yes...cannabis is a hallucinogen not a sedative or opiate...those are for pain and sleep...not I get high and also get relief from pain...and yes indica sux and has brought the good sativa high to a dumb stone...this is not for me...do what you like but don't go around saying providing good meds is the utmost goal ...thats plain bs...its still all about getting high

as a sativa lover i understand where your coming from i think, but to say indica's have no place in the cannabis world is kinda crazy. having been addicted to opium for over a decade i would never wish that on anyone. if you smoke indica's because that helps you sleep or alleviates some kind of pain, then fuck yea thats awesome! some people cant handle how "trippy" some great sativas can be, just like they wouldnt do a 10 strip or 7g;s of shrooms. nothing like smoking enough heavy indicas untill you lose feeling of your body and have CEV's.
