hey all,

I'm hoping to get some help from some local buddies re. grow room temps.

Has anyone in SEQ had problems with really high grow room temps? I thought I would gear up for summer and install panda film (black outside white inside) to get some sweet reflections going on, however it seems to have made a giant oven out of my setup and i'm worried about transferring my little girls inside due to the risk of frying them. sooo has anyone had a problem growing at 30-32 degrees?

its just a little grow with intake and exhaust, 400w hps and a canopy fan + im looking to scrog hazy girls

peace yo

32 converted (or not) is hot, 30 is close to OK, try not to get over 29 or so.
White on the outside instead of black will reflect heat instead of absorb.

You'll want to invest in a portable aircon. I bought mine for $135, 2nd hand. When I didn't have the aircon, my 2 plants died due to heat stress etc, so I waited until I had $ for the aircon and started a new grow from seed. So far so good.

I am a bit further down in OZ but we have some hot weather lately which has the tent up to 32degrees. Plants are showing sign of heat stress with the first set of leaves curling a bit. Most of the time I sit at about 25degrees and that seems perfect for me. I think an aircon would be a must for you. Good luck bro, happy growing.

Im in brissy, and i found that if u get enough airflow it will keep the temps down pretty well. I had my closet get pretty hot a couple times but nothing major, no damage. Temps in this country, especially at night are pretty spot on for weed, especially in the later months of summer and the early months of autumn when you start to get just under 25-26c so the colours come out and the nugs harden up a bit.

I wish I could run my stuff at night, but unfortunately can't now. Only have 1 portable aircon so during the day it's used for the plants, at night, for humans. (Brissy here too)
