Auto Pink Grapefruit by Short Stuff

This was one of three strains growing in one pot, it was the standout plant, both in stature, appearance, yield, and above all sticky all over which an other worldly flavour.

Strain: Auto Pink Grapefruit, by Short Stuff

Growth:
Vigourous, lorded it over the other two strains in the same pot.

Nutes:
GH Flora series.

Yield
: All three in the one pot yielded 12.75zip, Pink Grapefruit was 6.75 of that.

Bag Appeal:
Hard to say I don't put it in a bag, it has the most appeal to me when all the trichomes are intact here's a shot of two normal budstwo-buds.jpg and a close up of a bit I snipped offbud-bit.jpg , you tell me if this type of presentation appeals or not. It's quite airy and fluffy so it may not appeal to a commercial grower but to me this type of bud both resists bud rot and has useful undergrowth for rosin. Every part is completely covered in thick trichomes.

Smell:
The smell through the flowering and drying was a consistent sweet floral smell, like freesias, not in any way suspicious.

Taste:
The taste is complex and clean, there's no woodiness, and very little spice, it's just a pure citrus taste, but it's not sickly sweet, in fact it finishes off with a hint of the grapefruit bitterness.
The High: The high is what is described as a sativa high, it's cerebral and distracting and a lot of fun. A nice daytime smoke. And good for cartoons that reward concentration like Madagascar.

Comments:
This is right up there with Blueberry but not as unusual, without smells like a 1940's Railway waiting room, or the bottom drawer of a cedar chest in an antique shop and so forth. The vigorous growth is apparent from the off, it's not overly branchy and paces itself well, it has encouraged me to try some other short stuff seeds. Some people won't like these more airy buds but I prefer it, I have an orange bud auto with huge tight buds, also covered in trichomes, but these sticky buds have all the qualities that a connoisseur would look for. It's not something that you'll tire of easily and it's always a delight. The high quality larf IMG_7067.jpg produced a decent rosin return too. rosin.jpg rosina.jpg DSC_9738.jpg

I've grown 2 plants of this strain.
Very easy to grow.
Mine got quite large compared to the other auto's I was grown at the time.
The pheno's I grow where very purple and Indica leaning, yours seam to be more sativa than mine where.
I Liked it enough that I was thinking about Reversing one and making seeds.
