Avacadoetree DIEING!!

okay so i moved my avacado tree under my 400 watt light about 4 months ago and i had it too close.. It basically burned the top 6 inches off. The death has spread downwards towards the branch in the tree. It can't be more than a year or two170.jpg166.jpgold. Any suggestions?!!?! HELP ITS DIEING !! Do I cut off the dead part?

First, do you have it on a 12/12 schedule?
I tried a few veggies under vegging schedule, and it didn't work.
Aside from that, I don't think the amount of leafs visible in your pic is enough to sustain the plant.
Next, did you try and harvest something>
I read (when I was trying to grow an Avocado) not to try to harvest before the 5 year mark, kinda like a Pomegranate.

Yea its on 12/12. Mostly because its too cold outside for it. After I had the burn incident, all of the leaves fell off. It made a somewhat remarkable recovery except it looks like something took a bite out of it.. I'm just trying to keep it alive for now.

Carefully cut the top off about 3 to 4" above the living growth.
Dab some nail polish over the wound.
keep it in a not to bright area for a week or 2 then move back under lights gradually.

That bad boy has got to be more than a year or two old. I had one growing under some T12s once. That thing took forever to grow.
