Bananas to get female seeds

I just read a article that says putting seeds in baggie with banana peels, will turn the seeds to fems after a few weeks. Has anyone heard or tried this? I have extra regs I might just try this.

I just watched a video on this nonsense about ethylene with banana peals or apple peals. What rubbish.

It also says if you give the seedlings more nitrogen, less potassium, higher humidity, more blue light, no red light, max. 16 hours of light only, to run electric current into the soil... whaaaaaat?! Nothing has ever sounded more ridiculous except for claims that if women while pregnant eat more red meat they had a better chance of conceiving a boy child... whaaaat?!

This is incorrect. It can also be done using silver thiosulfate or by rodelization.
Most agree that Rodelization is not a "sure" thing. It is quite a bit complex and things need to go just right. It is possible, but as I mentioned above if you want to ensure fem seeds, colloidal silver is your best bet IMO.

Silver thiosulfate is a bit technique sensitive, requires caustic chemicals, careful measuring, careful storage, etc. You can purchase it But it's still a silver product, I'd consider it more of a related product than completely different. That said, if you purchase it outright you can easily spend $60/$70 dollars for a few ounces of a decent product versus $15 in some 0.999 % silver rods and a battery. To each their own I suppose.

I'm not saying a generator doesn't work, I'm just saying generating homemade CS is not the only way to ensure female seeds.

I've made fem seeds using colloidal silver, silver thiosulfate, and rodelization. Silver thiosulfate is by far the easiest and most reliable method. The silver nitrate and sodium thiosulfate used to make the STS solution is not caustic. In fact sodium thiosulfate is used as an antidote for cyanide poisoning. It's used as a topical treatment for ringworm and for dechlorinating tap water for use in in aquariums.

STS is what most seed producers use these days to make fem seeds as it is easier since only requires one or two sprays rather than spraying daily for two weeks or sometimes longer as is required with colloidal silver. I purchased enough silver nitrate and sodium thiosulfate to make gallons of solution for around $35. It's easy to mix the solution and takes about ten minutes. After using STS solution I'll never use any other method. Other methods work but STS is the easiest and I have found it to be the most reliable. No guessing on the silver content in the solution since everything is measured out by weight.

I just went through reversing sex and making fem seeds using STS.

Two sprays of STS solution 2 - 3 weeks later:
