Better light

Does anyone recommend a decent grow light that gives out the minimum 600w, I bought one for £115 says it was 600 but when it was properly tested, it only turns out to be 100, pretty disappointed to be honest.

The cheapest you will get 600 true watts of LED would most likely be a Kingbrite 600w or 4x HLG QB 96’s on 2 HLG-320h-54a drivers which would be around £400.

For your budget, I would stick with a 600w HPS or maybe you could get lucky finding 2 used 315w CMH for cheap.

I will have a look around, I don't mind paying the money for them, just want something that's true to its description, thanks mate

No worries. HLG, Timber, ChilLed, Kingbrite, and Meijiu are all some good options and advertise true wattage.
I will definitely take a look mate, I'm still kinda new to it all, I'm just glad I've found this out now rather than sat scratching my head wondering why it's take the piss

Yeah it pisses me off that the shitty LED companies advertise false wattages. They make a ton of money screwing over newer growers.
I got in touch and said I would send it back, because it's not as advertised, so I'm like we'll you took 115 off me but saying il only get so much back because I got rid of the packaging, then went on to tell me I wouldn't get a refund at all because it's not faulty, I said your missing point, it's not a 600w light you bellends, but you live and learn don't you

Both UK and EU trading standards would likely be on your side here unless they advertised real draw somewhere.

You could try push it if you wanted to. Might take some time. Do a chargeback through your bank if they refuse a return.

I threaten them with ombudsman but they couldn't have give any less shits than they did when they sold it to me.

For the OP, NukaCola helped me pick out my LEDs, and I researched the shit out of his recommendations- he knows his stuff.

I bought an HLG 600R spec, for my main tent (after discounts it's 716$ USD- way out of your range), but I also grabbed the 4 QB96 Elite V2s and 2 HLG-320-54-A drivers. That's over 640 watts, and everything, including every single thing I'd need to build them including the power cables WEGOS, etc was less than 450$USD including shipping after discounts.

I couldn't find anything comparable. Even Kingbrite and Mejui were more expensive per watt after shipping for a full spectrum LED board over 600 watts (And they don't have those kick ass looking pinned heatsinks )

I know that's more than your budget, but you'll end up making that money back plus more just on bulb replacement in the first year. A true 600+ watt LED definitely looks WAY more powerful than any 600watt HPS or HID I've seen with my own eyes.

Well I have about 1200 to play with, so if I have to go more exspensive for a better light that's what il do, the plants are growing, but not as good as I think they could with a better led

Hey I saw your thread is closed now. Did you do that?

Anyone who points you at HLG isn't wise they are sheep. Or they get discounts from getting people to buy HLG's over priced lights. For me it does the opposite tho I will literally never sign into an HLG site as long as I live with clowns like Padwarrior pushing them in every breath he has.

What's your problem with hlg anyways? I don't own one personally but I wouldn't be hesitant to get their products.

Their pricing is pretty standard, actually. Especially with the QB96'S. As I explained my 4 light setup was cheaper than any 600+ watt equivalent I could find including Kingbrite and Mejui. He pointed me at those first BTW.

Plus some people do actually care about warranties and customer service that's US based.

The 600r spec I ordered was stolen off my doorstep or UPS really fucked up. One or the other, IDK really. They shipped a new one in 48hrs.
