I use General Organics Diamond Black Liquid Humic Acid as a part of the entire line up along with a worm tea and was told both of these products will keep most bugs from the plant because it produces a Chemical in the plant that pests don't particularly like... I haven't had a single pest problem since

I have quite a lot of friends that are in to aromatherapy and 2 do it for a job so i get oils thru them. If you buy those silly little 10-15ml bottles they sell in new age shops well yes its expensive but if you go on line and buy it in 100ml to 500ml bottles it is actually very cheap, also it depends on what grade you buy as Castrol use to say 'Oils Aint Oils' also different oils are different prices but things like peppermint , lemongrass and rosemary are fairly cheap. Remember you can also use it for so many other things i.e. giving your partner a good rub down..

50 from Build a soil , i go into the warehouse sometimes to pick up neem an such , as they have opened a retail wing . the owner Jermey (smart dude)sold me on it with the chitisan rap , got me to buy the modern microbes too. that stuff WORKS . not sure if its needed it real built up soil though..
i have been looking for a chitinanse source as it is a PGR too ... but the fucking thrips are so bad in my clay soil it spreads to the outdoors . i use NEEM soil drenches mostly but i am moving away from that as it hurts the rizosphere ....

oh i use all that time to time cept the frass . my plant grew overnight from the 3ml per gallon due to the chitinase. if chitinase is so easy to obtaine then why did it take till 2010 to find it in its free form ? all those sources are chitin but chitinase is activated ready for the plant

I have been playing around with different essential for a while I have used most of the standard products with little success but this works and it's as natural as you can be which is always a bonus. I have grown for about 12yrs now but it's only in the last 2 that I have even come across these destroyers known as RA. I grow in a 80-20 coco perlite mix indoors and have found a mix of 5ml peppermint oil 5ml rosemary and 5ml of eucalyptus oil & 40ml of a organic dish washing liquid in 10lts of tepid water used as a bath with the whole pot submerged to the top for a min of 45min then drain and feed As normal. It can also be used as a foliar spray as a preventive against other bad guys plus it makes your grow room smell nice.
Will this kjill spider and russet mites? Thanks.

hi what up! still anyone here dealing with root aphids the organic way?

Swim used to deal with them with big time exterminator. After reading this thread swim moved from 10-15ml/gallon to 3ml/gallon. The real breakout of the root aphids happened then.. for me it more or less stopped after giving the 10-15ml again.

So swin finished harvesting. The grownest bags went outside still filled with the invested soil. good quality soil of gold lable. Swim only uses organic fertilizers, micorizer fungi, em, mollases.

Now swim would like to reuse the soil and bags and ordered beneficial nematodes. the soil had been frozen over winter and now eggs of root aphids may be inside the soil.. So swim could crumble the soil, take out rootsand spray it with water to give back humidity. Then swim would apply the nematodes.

This would deal with upcoming root aphids or not. would you say, the exterminator kills the nematodes too or not. So it could be used in combination on the soil too.

Any other suggestions on how to deal with them. How about essential oils or anything else you know that really works..also swim has pur neem but does not like to use it on soil for the reasons mentioned in the thread allready.

thanks, keep growing.

Root aphids have gotten stronger in 5 years lol. Not joking. 15ml Big Time Exterminator holds them back really well. You can hit a bad infestation with 30mL per gallon. Just turn off your air stones cause foaming can be an issue.

Still using BTE?

I just started it for the first time.

Question-
Have you used it as a spray during mid-flower? The current label says it can be used up until day of harvest- which I wouldn’t do- but I’m curious if it affects the terpenes or trichomes.

I finished the bottle in five days and switched to just a homemade citric acid solution since.
I’d still use BTE up to a week from harvest if I needed to. Just like the easy clean and minimal residue of citric. Makes it so I can just quick dunk in water if I really need to rinse but I think what isn’t mostly absorbed gets dew-rinsed and/or trimmed off.

Im using big time exterminator. spraying the soil and fogging above soil, everyday, at 175ml per gallon, for the last 5 days. And im still seeing thrips jump around an hour later. Im soooo pizzzd, i want a refund.
No clue what else to use. After spending 150 for a gallon of big time, its getting costly.
Should be some kinda garantee on these expensive sprays.
Anything else working?
