Blowing bubbles

Well I'm going to give this bubbleponics a try. This is my second grow and my plants are about a month and a half old. I plan to clone with my tubs for now and may flower with them as well. Here are the girls, the one on the right is a Purple Jesus and the one on the left is a White Widow. The two in the back are sick and won't be cloned.

I have only a few supplies left to find. All I need now is net containers, PH up/down, and a PH and PPM meter. I've found everything locally so far, and should be able to find these few items at the local hydro shop tonight. I'm just very nervous about shopping there. All my other supplies either came from Walmart or a garden store. The tubs were a donation from work.

The pump has a double outlet, I was hoping that it was enough to run both tubs. If not I'll get another one. The hydroton and hydro nutes came from the garden shop. They have other cloning/hydro supplies just not what I need.

Now here are the tubs. I figured I will need about 2 gal of water. The plan is for 6 sites per tub. Last night I drilled and glued everything into place. Tonight I'll be blowing my first bubbles.

So there it is!! Any and all help or advice from the bubbleheads would be great!! Am I missing anything?

Thanks in advance!:eyesmoke:

uhh,,,only newb mistake I can think of that I see often is not preparing for insect attacks by spraying a good pesticide around the edges of the room and up the walls.

All your plans and details look fine to me.

I think that is under control. I have a little construction left on the room, but I made sure everything was very dead before I started this 2nd grow. Mainly because I had a serious mold problem with my first grow.

Hopefully tonight I'll have some finished tubs ready for clones!!:weed:

I hope they survive.:bigjoint:

The tubs seem to be working fine, although I'm only using 1 right now. The hydroton got rinsed and rinsed and rinsed again, when I thought it was clean I rinsed it again. I dug out an old single outlet pump that I used on an old fish tank, it still blows lots of bubbles. Than I rinsed it again. I wasn't sure how I was going to drill the lid, so it looks a little off. I couldn't find any net baskets so I took the DIY part a step further and I'm using little plastic cups. I cut a hole in the bottom and slots in the sides. Than I rinsed it again. I ended up taking 8 clones 4 from the WW and 4 from the PJ. But not until I rinsed it again. There will be more in my journal if anybody is interested.bongsmiliebongsmiliebongsmilie

You really have to have high humidity now, they can nto drink through the roots until they get roots and they need a lot of Misting, Foilage Spraying and high humdity.....like a dome part time, if you can.
They are going to wilt, so expect it, but they will come back when the roots get in the water.

I was looking for some type of dome last night and I'll probably end up with a DIY dome using the plexiglass I have and a few boards for a frame. I've read about misting them, just didn't realize it was as important as you make it sound. I'll be giving them a drink as soon as I get home! Thanks for the tips Roseman!:bigjoint:

I think I see the starts of roots!! If thats what the little hairs are anyway.

A couple of the clones.... The lower leafs of the WW clones are yellowing and probably won't last. I might be wrong but I see it as a good sign that they are eating, even if they are getting it from the leafs for now.

My concern would be leaks from all those holes below the water line. Never seen that before, but I sure hope that silicon sealant holds tight for you thru all your grows.
