Blue Planet Nutrients journal

Hello all, I'm new to this site but love the wealth of knowledge here. I will be doing a journal on Blue Planet Nutrients and very excited about trying a new nute line. I have used GH for years and wanted a change. I have heard a lot of good things about BP in different blogs and decided to give them a try. I have not seen their product in New England. I like the fact that this is not an over priced, over hyped nutrient line where the owner is hands on. Pricing is very reasonable. I will be running the 3 part high yield series. Can run this line in coco, soil, and hydro. Mixed first batch if nutes at 50% just to get the feel for them. Will be gradually be upping it to recommended doses once i know plants can handle it. I have had nutrients for about a month but wanted to try it in my new DWC system which i just got up and running a couple weeks ago. Still need to insulate system and get a chiller. Chillers are a little pricey and will have to wait a bit. Using frozen 2 liters to keep water temp in range. Will be running 7 Blueberry from plant outside which was gifted by MTSCG and 1 headband. The blueberry was a tangled mess in cloner and i had to cut and hack roots apart with scissors. Wasn't even sure they were going to make it. The system is an 8 site system but cant get all in one pic. I will try to do better in pics next time.

Welcome to Roll It Up! Glad to see more people around here using Blue Planet. I've been using their 3 part for about 2 years now and love it. Finally a company to offer top notch nutes for reasonable prices. I'm always trying to turn folks on to their line. Their good people. I'm sure you'll be satisfied with em. I hadn't got the high yield kit yet but plan on in it when I reorder. My buddy has it. their mychorizzae is super fine. the stuff i have is from General Organics and its kinda bunk. its big chunks like cat litter.

I like DWC, that my prefered method as well. Blueberry is a good strain... hadn't had it in a few years. Best of luck on your grow. Ill subscribe and check back from time to time to see how its coming along.

Hello GoodGrower, glad to see BP is working out for you. I really like it so far. Yes, their mycho is real fine like a powder. Never tried the GO mycho. I would imagine that would start a clogging issue in Dwc if it didn't break down immediately. What did you use before BP nutes and how do you think it compares? Nice to meet you GG. Talk to you soin, Dilly

I've used em all. Started with Miracle Gro, then the Pro Bloom (not impressed)... Fox Farms but had too many deficiencies and didn't want to have to add extra stuff. Then I started using GH and liked that. It was consistent. My friend was getting slightly better results with AN so we were running that for a few grows, but geez louise its pricey. Then someone in the crew won a contest on another forum and won some BPN. He wasn't expecting much so never used it. Then he got low on AN, and said what the hell... figured he'd use the BPN until he had time to get to the grow shop. Said his buds puffed up and got super tight and compact. noticed a difference in like a week or something. thats when we all started looking into bpn and seems like everyone gets those kind of results. i've never seen any bad reviews. seen grow journals where guys are getting over a gram a watt on sea of green with ZERO veg time. going straight from the cloner to the flower chamber. now thats impressive. i email those guys from time to time to ask questions and they're real helpful and down to earth.

theres a joke that goes "how do you know if someone's a vegan?" "dont worry, they'll let you know." its kind of like that with bpn. ive never seen such loyal supporters for a nute company, we all try to turn people on to their magic juice. someone even started a group on here called BPN Army. i guess when people help out your garden, you tend to love em.

Take care Dilly, talk soon.

End of week 2 in veg. Going from soil to Dwc is a serious change for the better. Im feeling almost lazy, he he. Keeping water cold is my biggest issue but changing out frozen 2 liter bottles til i can get chiller. Im even more impressed with Blue Planet Nutrients. Its not uncommon to have some sort of deficiency while growing and always have corrected it with adjustment of diet. I have had nothing but lush green vibrant plants that are making my job easy!! Im up to full strength on nutes and not even leaf tips are discolored I think i will be flipping these in a week and a half. My 6 in one meter had to be sent back for replacement as it was defective. I Have a back up ph meter but not a ppm back up.

Wow! That's all I can say... Wow! Talk about green! Now you see why I love BPN so much. I was just talking with another grower here about why they aren't more popular. My guess is they don't really advertise, which I'm sure is very expensive and probably why they can keep prices so low. Its like we're part of some underground society of people in the know.

So Dilly, this is your first time growing DWC?? Its awesome right?!?! When I finally switch over from soil to DWC it was like "Damn, why didn't do this years ago?!?!" Next summer I want to do a huge DWC garden in my back yard for veggies. My days of digging up the earth are over. Cant wait to see how this garden turns out!

image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgIts been a couple weeks since last post as i wanted to show the absolute crazy growth. Blue Planet is making this very easy on me. Have seen no signs of issues whatsoever. Up to full strength on nutes and plants are lovin it. Dwc also makes this very easy for me. Have sprayed with couple different neem oils a couple times a week and have had to do very little trimming of anything. Into week 4 of veg and need to flip these this week as im running out of room. Did not expect the dramatic growth and couldn't be happier with BP. Wondering why more people don't use it.

Castro: thanks. We will finish it like a Jamaican garden, he he

good: yes, 1st time dwc and loving it. That would be awesome outside!!! I couldn't imagine the growth.

Thank you for compliments. Flipped ladies on oct 21. They have started to flower nicely. Blue Planet seems to be still going strong with vibrant growth and deep green look. I have given full suggested dosages and ppms are around 1400. Going to do a weekend water flush to see where im at with consumtion of water and ppm fluctuation. Have trimmed some bottom branches but probably need to trim some more as there is not alot of light penetration below. Im keeping a close eye on the roots as ladies are in 2 1/2 gallon buckets and im already root bound and see a potential problem with roots mashed up to bottom of fill bucket where it sits in the bottom stagnant water. Have lifted buckets roughly 3/4" on 4 of them and added an extra bucket with holes on the other 3 to keep out of water on bottom. I have a close eye on them to see the reaction of both modifications and flood line where i added extra bucket and drainage where i added shims to bottom of bucket. I will be adding a root cleanser for weekend flush. Roots seem ok but they are not pearly white on very bottom due to issue. I need to make sure i figure this one out so i dont screw this crop up. Im very happy with new system but feel the buckets are too small. Blue Planet is making my job easy keeping the ladies green and healthy.

Water temp 65-70
Room temp 75-80
Ph 5.8-6
Ppms 1400

Nice ladies...I hear this all over that GH and AN are so expensive when compared to whatever is being tested? Has anyone done an actual costing to really see if their is that much of a difference? I have! I have 15+ growers using a number of different brands and to tell you the truth, if you use these products like they recommend then yes they are a little more costly, actually 22% more costly than the cheapest over the counter products. How much are deficiencies worth to you? You can grow well using any products out there but how do you want to grow is the question. These are the two I recommend because of ease of use, not cost. When someone is new it eliminates a bunch of issues they will encounter using general use products. By the way what did this kit cost and what are the recommended doses?...JAS

BPN is super easy to use. Perfect for beginners. Especially their 2 part. You can get both parts in quart size for like 20 bucks. The gallons for around 40. You just follow the feeding chart which is tuned in for mj. They have the feed schedule and ppms on their website: blueplanetnutrients.com and those guys are pretty helpful and will answer any questions you may have. Anytime I've emailed them I've gotten replies usually the same day if not the same hour. I've never had any deficiencies. I dont even need cal-mag.
Here is the schedule for the 3 Part High Yield Kit. I just use the Grow, Micro, Bloom, and Liquid Blue so I only follow those numbers, but will probably get this kit the next time. It goes for like $150ish. And all but the 2 bloom boosters are gallon sizes. Its the BPN version of AN's kit but is like a third the cost.

I like how the schedule has us back off on the micro a little bit towards the end. I think this is so we can make sure the plants are able to flush the magnesium which makes the plants burn hot. I always have smooth burns with clean ashes.

I use the same G, M, and B with the liquid blue only. I used to use cal mag when i used r/o. Cant beat the prices.

But the reason (i think) they cut the micro is because it has the most nitrogen in it out of the G,M,B and even though they need it during flower they dont need that much especially that late.
