Hey guys & gals. I’m starting this journal to keep track of things and occasionally check progress, nothing too serious lol.

As always with my journals feel free to comment or criticize all you want ;)

Still the same old 3x3 for veg and 2x4 for flower. Also still running Amazon boards, I am looking into building an actual room and buying some better lighting.

This is what I’ve got going on right now, I’m in the process of giving all my big plants away to family & friends lol I’ve got a lot more outside as well.4B48EF2A-B454-487E-B8DB-620EE0C5F3CD.jpegAAAAAD2E-918C-49CB-8572-5192A9933EED.jpeg9A551A56-C9ED-4EF7-9FDA-F837011DC146.jpeg

Flower cab is @ 78f & 43rh.

So I’m kind of doing an unintentional side by side, Miracle Gro potting soil and Promix HP. I’ve been growing with potting soil for years and just switched to Promix HP.

They’re both the strawberry cough cut I’ve been running for a while now. So far they’re basically identical. ABD6A461-C878-43CC-A1C2-29AB437DBA81.jpeg

I ran miracle grow when I started...it definitely grows cannabis, but it can be a struggle sometimes, hence the haters lol.
Disclaimer, have moved on to more cannabis specific soil though years ago.

Yep haha. Plants either love it or hate it. I’m hoping Promix hp can be more consistent. The worst part about the MG was when they couldn’t handle the nitrogen, there was no way to correct it.

its because miracle-gro uses urea nitrogen in its products so it will acidify your soil. if temps get below 60f stop feeding urea based nitrogen products because once it heats back up the nitrogen breaks down fast and causes burns.

Hmm. I’ve never heard of that, either way I think I’m done with soil lol

I fed the Strawberry @ 100% strength yesterday so we’ll see how that goes. Temps have also been around 77 so I turned the exhaust down a little.

Whaaa??? I have no idea where you learned this but it sounds like horseshit. Is this what someone told you? I used to grow with miracle grow for years. It works fine.

never said it doesn't work. it uses a source of synthetic nitrogen which complicates things during temperature flux. I'm an organic grower who's read and compared the data. Never burned my plants with Roots organic, Dyna grow, or crop salt and all three don't use a whole lot of urea nitrogen based products. FF, miracle gro and many others use urea based nitrogen and ive heard the horror stories about miracle gro and cannabis, im good lol.

Can you explain how the urea gets "complicated" during temp fluctuation? You really think they developed a product that wont work properly after being exposed to temps lower than 60F??? LOL. So it doesn't "complicate" things in your nutes cause it doesn't use "a whole lot of urea"? So this process doesn't occur in your nutes cause they're special? Oh your nutes prob aren't letting that urea "break down too fast and cause burns". Also you say you "hear horror stories" about MG AND FF...so did you ever use it or is this just talk? Where are all the Fox farm urea users complaining of this stuff you talk about? Did you compare "data" when actually using it? Please tell me how it acidifies your soil as well.........
