Update 13: July 8
DAY 78
Week 6 flower

So turns out the yellowing was just a sign that she's ready to wrap up! In the past few days, almost all of the pistils have browned and trichomes on buds are almost totally cloudy with some amber on the leaves.
Yesterday I watered with just phed water and it will likely be my last or second last watering. Leaves are all starting to flush and some gorgeous autumn colours on the sugar leaves.
Going to let it go until I see 15% amber trichomes on the buds to make sure shes as fat and dense as possible.
Maybe 1 more week..... 2 weeks max

O yeah she looks like a quick finisher..... Id give her another week or two personally (i like my girls nice n ripe). I like to cut my girls when they are "due for a watering" so that they are already sort of dry when i cut them- I feel like it drastically reduces chances of mold.

Update 14: July 14
Day 84
Week 6 flower

Looking lovely! Those leaves are barely hanging in there but I think will get it to my target of 90 days. On one hand, I wish that I had kept up the nutes a bit longer as she flushed early, but on the other she didnt like nutes and technically is doing good.... just hard to see those leaves so yellow! This was my first autoflower so I'll take it as a lesson for the next one.

She's still throwing out a few pistils here and there so she's still fattening up for me. Pistils have just started going amber on the buds so 1 more week should be the sweet spot. Water uptake is WAY down. Havent watered in 6 days but will be doing so tomorrow as her last watering then will let her dry up again before the chop :)

Sorry I couldn't get clearer pictures today. Next post will likely be harvest day!

Update 15:July 20
Day 90
Week 7 flower

Shes still holding in there! The leaves are dying, but slowly. The buds are super frosty and dense. Amber trichomes are showing on the buds at about 10%.
While I think I could really harvest any day now, I'm going to try to push it to 95 days and plan to chop her down Saturday :) This was a 65-73 day strain. I have 2 more plants at various stages going at the same time so if 95 ends up being too early or late I'll know for the other runs.
But really she's looking ripe and about ready to go!

Update 16: July 22
Day 92
!!!HARVEST DAY!!!

Hello all!
So on day 90 I took off a branch to trim and dry to compare to the rest of the batch I had planned to go to 95 days. It was absolutely gorgeous and I even noticed that a couple of the very full calyxs had the beginnings of a seed... proof she was good and ready if not over her peak. The medium was dry so I decided to I put her into about 36 hours darkness right away and gave her the chop this morning. Lots of gooey trim I will be turning into cana-EVOO. Mmmm :)

Buds have been trimmed and are hanging in their dry box. Hoping to get a 6-7 day dry and will let you know the weight before they go into their jars. I'm gonna guess about 1.5 - 2 oz?
In my haste to harvest I didnt take any pre-harvest pics but have a couple to share including some decent sized nugs all trimmed up.

Enjoy! And thanks for checking in :leaf:

P.s. the self seeding actually presents an opportunity as far as I'm seeing. Plant #2 will be partially harvested in about 3-4 weeks but I plan to leave some branches on to keep going well past harvest and hopefully give me some free auto seeds! I even have some colloidal silver but not sure it would help at this point as she's well into flower? The learning never ends!

Bout a pound I'd say.

Was joking around. I think your estimate is very close. Next time consider dry trimming, it slows down the drying process a lot.
Thanks. I've tried dry trimming once and it's too much extra work. So much harder. So I'm keeping the rh in the box at about 65 and non direct fan. I'm hoping for good results! The branch I cut 2 days ago is progressing well. No where close to crispy yet.

Harvest Update
Aug 2

Everything dried nice and slowly - 6 days. Considering I wet trimmed I'm happy with that. Been curing in glass jars a few days now. Trying my hardest to let it go 3 weeks cure before any sampling! Trim will be making infused olive oil once cured and decarboxylated :leaf:

Dry weight 48g - so about 1.7oz for the one plant. Could have been better, could have been worse. Definitely lessons learned.

My outdoor plant was also chopped this weekend at day 82 days. I'm going away for a few days this week with bad weather expected plus she had started showing some mite damage. Looked good to go anyways. Being outdoor it seems she ripened up faster. Less nugs but a bit more dense. I could also tell she was starting to hermie (its been crazy hot and humid) and self seed so I left a couple branches on to see if I can get some free seeds.

Thanks for joining me :D :leaf:

Q.C.S. Quebec Canabis Seed

I have a couple more beans from them but I'm antsy to try something bigger. Thinking of getting something new from my local pot shop. Gonna check out what they have next week and ask for opinions on strains before buying.

Any particular breeders you would suggest for autoflower?

Mephisto if you can catch them before they sell out. Mephistogenetics.com they have a CA site, but im from the US so not sure when it's re-opening. They are the top dawgs of autos right now and definitely since i started growing autos in 18'.

I hate to rub it in but I can just walk to a little pot shop down the street called the hippy. Last time I was there they had mephisto so I'll check their strains and get back to you after the long weekend. Who would be second choice?

Thanks!

XD damn, you better get down there FAST. Dinafem, Fast Buds, Sweet Seeds and Dutch passion are all good choices. Bomb seeds has been mentioned before and after looking, they seem to have some good looking stuff. I'd definitely look at those Mephisto though and I'd prefer Dinafem myself as a second.

Im not a fan of fast buds.... Ive ran a lot of their strains and the only one that really packed a punch was the gelato. Anything purple was garbage. and everything else was ok but nothing special.

All fast buds..... Look at the two pineapples side by side..... what the fuck.

I've seen you say this alot, but Fast Buds definitely has a following hard to be dismissed. Myself I've bought Zkittlez(which you say wasn't good), Blue Dreamatic and Tangiematic so i hope i don't strike oit on them.

Yeah the following is what got me sucked in but just because millions followed Hitler doesnt mean they were right. Yeah very disappointed in the zkittles. very pretty plant though. The blue dreamatic was decent. I grew three of them. The first time i grew it i only grew one plant and that was the best one. Second grow I did 2 of them and they were good but nothing special. Never tried the tangie.

This is my blue dreamatics side by side. Totally different phenotypes but both still had a reminiscent blue dream smell and taste. The big one was definitely the better pheno though. They were grown under the exact same conditions...... I see no stability with the fast buds genetics.

Have you by any chance had the REAL clone only cuts of the BD and Zkittlez? For me, i haven't so even if they were a letdown i will never know. As long as they are a good replica of them that's all i could ask for.
