We sell our butter in 1/2 cup containers with a lid. Much like a small container of country crock. Patients seem to really prefer this for the ease of use and ability to reseal. Plus is stores/travels very well

Butter sticks are 1/2 cup per stick. Thats why we use a 1/2 cup plastic containers. If he is stuck on shape them he has serious isssue lol

make them then... cant be that hard... shit take a stick of butter freeze it, put it in plaster of Paris make a mold... then just put plastic wrap in the mold and pour your butter in, put in the fridge and bam.. you could even put an insignia in the bottom of the mold for your brand or a saying 'its all about the shape'

very simple method but you get the idea... wouldn't be to hard to fab up a larger mold just get the dimensions and make it out of wood.. find someone with a plastic vacuum forming machine, and make the female component of your mold.. then you could make runs of ten at a time... and still get the insignia and your boss would think you where the man for thinking of it.

a butter stick is 1/4 lb

try this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Tupperware-Harvest-Gold-1-4-lb-1-stick-covered-butter-dish-EUC-/251385151522
1/4 lb (1 stick) butter mold. Price: $4.99 plus S&H (I would recommend this one, because it makes a perfect stick of butter.)

or this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-TUPPERWARE-GOLD-BUTTER-DISH-LARGE-1-LB-CAPACITY-/331071793279?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4d156aa87f
1 lb (4 stick) butter dish. Price: $5.99 plus S&H

BTW 1/4 lb is the same thing as 1/2 cup

Here was a quick follow up on the butter stick mold and storage. Its 16 seconds as not to waste anyones time but gets the point accross. I recommend them as I make a lot of butter and the odor free long term storage is where its at! Having them in stick form makes the wife happy more than anything because she cooks with it. :)

What you can use to make 1/4 cup bricks is cupcake pans put hot butter in them and put in freezer after frozen take out and store in freezer. You will get the hang of taking them out without breaking the bricks butter knife works well :). :)
