Real seed breeders LMAO, where did you read that. They can't even grow and finish a decent product..let alone make seeds
read that? I have been to the facility in Smith Falls. I have seen the operation and it looks professional to me. Where do you think they get their seeds? Not from TNSB.

I certainly do NOT have the grow experience of most here. But I DO have more experience partaking than most, 30 years of experience.

What is written above is so important to understand.

A new "strain" is made every time sometime creates seeds intentionally or otherwise. The vast majority, simply stated, suck.

Even a stabilized and consistent strain can suck. So what is the "best?"

It is, quite simply, when someone has run through dozens or even hundreds of seeds to find the very best pheno...then clone or feminize it.

The reason why some bagseed can be WAY better than even seeds bought from a well known breeder is because of that selection process.

Many of the very best strains now have somewhat unknown parentage...for this reason. They have an incredible pheno but may not know where it came from!

Getting a seed or a clone of a strain you have personally enjoyed is the very best option imo. All other options require some luck or a very, very consistent strain.
Well said!

Ive never gotten a clone...

What strains did you start with? Northern lights, skunk, thai? Curious what you created.
I saved the original packaging from the dutch passion seed company. My early growing 1974 was columbian/ mexican bag seed like everyone else. In 1989 a friend had a photocopied seed catalogue from dutch coffee shops and I ordered from that. The original seeds were Amstel gold, early bud and hollands hoop.:-)
Since then, I just try to save the best examples of what I like in potency, structure and aroma. All regular seed. I never knew the names but I know the traits of the different landrace genetics. We are just playing with hybrids of the originals.
I categorize by short/tall, indica traits or sativa, aroma, colour and sticky. As with regular seed, not stabilized, you never know what you get but thats half the fun of growing. I bake my pot in muffins haven't smoked in 30 years so I like different strains so I don't become immune. The batch I am doing is short and sticky:-) heres a pic from 1975, i am in white tee. Also original packaging from 1989:-)

Thank you for sharing!

I really like chocolate chip cookies...if you dont like to bake from scratch a mix works very well!

It was right around '89 that I got into everything, great memories. I still remember the one summer, maybe 90 or 91 when Bush 1 locked down everything and there was a massive drought all summer everybody desperate to find some...except you!

I started with duncan hines, first brownies then carrot cake then from scratch since. Banana cinnamon works well to cover the taste, I don't do butter, high cholesterol although I do like the flavour. Olive oil or canola and 48 grams of bud through a sieve:-) makes about 24 to 26 muffins, I eat about 2 per day so I bake alot. Buying pot is cost prohibitive so I've been growing indoors since I bought my house in 1988. Outdoor crops got ripped and couldn't depend on yield so I moved indoor 12 months a year. Glad to share seeds if you mail a self addressed padded envelope and your preference of varieties I would be happy to share!:-) Regular seed.

Very generous! I may take you up on that.

One small tip from my own baking...a coffee filter on top of the sieve will let you filter even more of the green out. I also find a coffee grinder is an amazingly efficient way to grind it all up. I really like your 2g per dosage

I usually go for about 1/2 to 1g per, and have 2 to 4 a day on fun days. Eating is different but is great in its own way. Long lasting and very social

this site is very useful for exchange of info, always learning. People from around the world brought together through mutual interest of marijuana:-) Finally society is waking up to the benefits and the fact that people will choose whats best for themselves. Free to choose!
I don't know if you read my personal info but I'm a retired 60 year old living in Brockville, Ontario and with the Bush1 reference you are in the US:-) Most aren't specific on info of where they live.

Damn I ordered from this place last week choosing it because I could use my credit card, figured it would get here faster from Canada than europe but it took over a week to get a confirmation that they received payment. Hope it don't take too long and that they aren't some crappy plants like some of you say... Didn't wanna go the money order route but I might go ahead and just order some off great lakes genetics or something. How disappointing

friends have used seed king, they were happy. I got quite a wide variation in the 3 GG#4 I veged out but at least all seeds from TNSB have sprouted so far.
try MCS next time from Montreal but always pay the extra $10 for tracked expedited Canada Post.

This is one of my main complaints too. Great Lakes falls into my category of fast service lower selection. TNSB is an example of a huge selection with slower and less service (imo).

I am not at all familiar with all the legalities of it but the market is wide open for a "Huge Selection Fast Ship Good Service" shop.

My own take is that when Great Lakes or other higher service sellers have what you want, its ideal. But if you are searching for particular strains, you need broader selection and thats why it all frustrates me. Service or selection, not both, at least in the USA

I never thought I would see myself pay $10 plus for one marijuana seed! I bought seed 3 times from 2 shops by mail. MCS and TNSB, both delivered within 2 weeks. Mailing to US might take longer. If I had US $, I would order seed from Spain or Holland and they are probably more reputable:-) BC has good seed similar to Cali

Ordered from true north seed bank our of Canada. Package came quick..inside of 8 days. Not discreet what-so-ever. Just bubble wrapped around original packaging. They want you to pay extra $15 and purchase an item out of store for discreet shipping. Ordered Cheese Auto got Lemon Skunk Auto and Bubba Kush for free all by Canuk. None of them popped or even turned light color. When I opened the package they looked old and 2 almost appeared to be cracked.

Not sure if this is standard or not with other companies but a letter was also inside the package. Seems to be the way they protect themselves but it screws the customer. It said "These seeds are not for germination. They are for storage in case cannabis goes legal. We are not responsible for the germination of these seeds."

I will most certainly Never order from them again. I am waiting for an email back but I seriously doubt they will help per the letter. Will update you guys.
Me to. Ordered seeds with credit card. Should go through within a day. Nope, they never took my payment and it's been a week. I went to crop king and within 12 hours they took the money off my credit card and sent me my email.

nothing but negative feedback from TNSB. I guess I was lucky as I ordered early and then again on their Valentine's sale and received the seeds within a week. So far, all but one free seed has germinated and grown out. Seed King seems to be making customers happy!:-)

Im on the verge of demanding a refund since I haven't gotten a shipping confirmation and its almost been 3 weeks. I'll probably order some from great lakes genetics I just didn't wanna go through the money order hassle.

I also used MCS, Montreal Cannabis- seeds.ca. I've experienced good customer service from a Feb. order I placed with them. Are you looking for specific strain?

Nah, heard good reviews about bodhi and I know GLG carries that breeder, I was actually disappointed TNSB didn't have them but again I wanted to go the simple route and use my credit card. I've read where other people used great lakes genetics and were happy and they are even in the same state as me so shipment should be quick.

It looks like crop king only carries their own seeds, not sure how reputable they are as a breeder.

definitely service should be quicker in your home state. I've heard them mentioned on this site. For some reason I feel European breeders are better if only by reputation and history. What about west coast breeders, can't they ship to you?
