Cannabis School

Should I attend Cannabis Training Institute?

Hello, my name is Sierra and a Happy Thanksgiving! How are you doing? I am slowly trying to pull myself together for todays big feast, but also to get started on my goal for the future.
What goals for the future might i be talking about? I want to open up a marijuana dispensary/delivery/smoke lounge to promote the use of cannabis for mental health. It saved my life and I want to be able to spread the message to others, but also allow them to be able to find some cure or just find a safe place to go to if needed. I want to attend cannabis school, plus get any and all licenses to get things going.
Has anyone heard of Cannabis Training Institute? I have heard great reviews and know someone personally who attended and received all 9 certificates.

Please let me know :)

If you don't have the resources (money) to finance all aspects of the business; construction, licensing, insurance, etc, you'll have to have an investor. Most savvy investors want someone who has proven supervisory and/or managerial expertise or has a solid, conventional degree in Business Administration from an accredited brick and mortar institution. You also need to find out what any of these places offer as to job placement assistance. If they can't find you a job are they going to refund your tuition? Also, if your age is correct (30) in your bio, what kind of work have you been doing the last 10 years? Did you finish high school with a solid GPA? Any college at all? Military service? Good work references? Investors look at all this as well. Good Luck!

Oh of course and I don’t expect this to happen in the blink of an eye just a lifelong goal.
I have graduated high with diploma. I am on social security so I don’t have much “work” experience persay.
I just want to get my foot in the door, which I have a meeting with Natural Gold CEO Monday, so we will see how things can go.

Skip those cannabis "schools" and find yourself a job in a grow facility first, to learn commercial scale growing and save every $$$ you have. The only school that will help will be basic business and especially accounting/bookkeeping courses at your local community college. To own your own business you will need capital and/or a loan, and no one gives out loans for cannabis businesses, so it will be on you to come up with the initial cash. If you're motivated and a hard worker, you can do it. Even in a flooded market there is ALWAYS room for top quality, so start honing your growing skills now. A lot of what you learn in a small 4x4 tent grow will apply to a larger grow too, you'll just need to learn the automation, fertilizer maths, etc, so I'd start up a personal grow ASAP.

This operation will not be ran by just myself, my boyfriend will be on the growing side and I’m more focused on the business side. Like I said I don’t expect this to happen overnight, I am willing and wanting to get this done :) with any advice and help and leads I can get!

It really depends on what you want to do... most cannabis schools are for suckers, but they can provide a certain edge professionally speaking. It kind of goes to whether you are opening your own business, or working for others. If you are looking for business credentials and overall knowledge, business school is where you want to go, if you want to learn about weed, you can learn everything you need right here. If you are starting your own business, you don't need a degree or any certificate, but if you are working for someone else, it might help to have some kind of certification. Investors might only want people who they believe are the most "qualified", while others might favor true enthusiasts over those who went to school to get in on the "industry". I personally have more than enough money to open a shop, but hate the toxic and corporate direction the industry has taken. If I were to hire or invest, it would only include those who were growing well before legalization, or those who are more along the lines of users than profiteers. Weed sold by weed people, not by the suits from the outside. But that way of thinking is not common. Customers are also stupid, and many think only those who went to school know anything, which means going to school could help in sales. But on the flip side, there's lots of people who'd prefer buying from someone they feel is authentic and genuine, so it's really up to you.
