Why i your CMH so far away? You could lower that, no?
Perhaps.. You ever used one? The CMH is a pretty powerful light. Try spending a little time under one.. Make sure you wear a hat, long sleeves and sun glasses unless you want to end up looking like a Senior PGA tour player.

No, I'm just getting back into this after a six year break. I'm coming back as an LED guy. My growing area get's hot in the summer so LED's will be a great heat lowering option, plus less electricity use. I used to veg under T5 and flower under HPS. I may still veg under T5 but flower will be under LED's. I may document my return grow to see how this new LED journey goes.

Don't cheap out on the leds. If you are skilled with electronics I'd build my own lights, you can customize to the space you are going to grow in. Otherwise I'd go with whatever company has the best warranty and customer service, stay away from china made stuff, descriptions are way inflated or outright false. Good luck! Looks forward to seeing what you decide to go with! PS This lady was outdoors but weather forced me to bring her inside where she has no environmental controls other than 2 fans. Lights are older HLG 260's in 3000k spectrum.
