I doubt Rudd wouldnt do any different. He's just all talk and says they will look into it ....and that's all you hear again. It'd be super if it just becomes a state issue like in Colorado and Washington.

Well right now it's not being pushed for legalisation as voters don't want this demon drug ruining their children's futures.

I see more and more discount chemists popping up...to me that says that people are sick and don't have much money. When they find that cannabis can help them in some way then I think there will be a bigger change in voters and one of the major parties will use it to their advantage. Or maybe we just have to wait 20 years for the conservatives to die off.

I can't wait for the day when I can walk down to the dope shop and grab a few grams of organic dank.

What are the average prices on high quality indoor in AU? Do people pay over 800$ for 1/4 lbs?

Depends whereabouts in Aus. East coast 50k from city it's $1000 for 4oz good quality [Good, not great]
Go to northern N.S.W. & it's heaps cheap by comparison & depending on time of year. I paid $300 for 4oz very nice quality & it's even cheaper for locals. That was in winter, only 2-3 months after harvest.

I wrote to every health minister in Australia trying to get a health minister to listen to me about the benefits of a medical marijuana program. The only one that wrote back to me positively was the one in NSW and we were allowed to do a big submission for their committee. I am a registered nurse. There were many others. Doctors too and that had some weight but they now have to get the approval from the federal health minister. I can't say what will happen. Fingers are crossed. You need such a program but the price for illegal pot will fall. Look at Canada. They're lucky if you get $1400 a pound for top shelf now so they say.

Maybe someone needs to point out the money involved..look at the US states that have legalized it, the income is up in the billions after only one year. If regulated properly it could be a massive economy booster!!

I think the biggest tax payer in California is medical marijuana. Politicians are aware of this, but they represent the majority of an electorate...and most people are douche bags.

It would still be political suicide to be pro marijuana atm. I don't know why but I have a feeling that medical marijuana will come up after two terms of this liberal government. Just feel it in my bones lol. So like in a decade. I just hope that more and more american states legalise for recreational use like washington. The more 'case studies' there are the more ammunition there will be to follow suit.

Now Abbott is in we have absolutely no chance guys sorry. Not that that should stop us. I think we should start a partition up putting in some effort to get it looked at on a more of a serious note. We need all the info about what we are talking about coz they will have their bs handed out to us but we have to be smarter about it,we need to point out how good it will do our economy for starters and work our way in from there etc etc. our GOVERNMENT is just a BUSINESS and still in a old mindset about mj and unless shown ways it will benefit the government it will not happen.
