Depends on what you are looking for.
I have an s&p silent that is nearly silent. Have separate fan speed controller and inkbird control.
Ac infinity makes a good product and can be ordered with the controllers built in.
My cheap old vivosun wasnt quiet but worked fine for years.

I like vortex. I like AC infinity 69 controller but IMO the fan seems built cheap, T6 running ~8hrs/day between speed 1-4 started rattling after 2 months. Also louder then I expected.

I find they're quiet under a setting of about 6, but can get loud when cranked. I have both T6 and S6 and haven't had any additional noise from them after over a year of use on each.

Part of the secret on quiet (no matter the fan) is to over-spec the flow and keep 'em turned down.

I’m retiring some vortex 6” that have a little over 10,000 hours on each one. Solid fans, motors are solid for the amount of use, but the shrouds on each end are leaking air. My fans never turn off once started on a grow and can’t afford a breakdown during. Quiet is nice, but not my biggest concern. Intake and exhaust fans are located outside of room and are independently controlled. Intake’s run at 50-60% capacity.

vortex makes fans with excellent bearings i have one thats approaching 10 years still works great. they also come with a 10 year warranty. they dont have fancy options like ac infinity. however i dont bother altering the fan speed i run it wide open no controller with the purpose of cooling and to create a vacuum or in the centre of the room to scrub the air and mix the co2 when running the room sealed.

Can fan, formerly ruck are solid work horses.

If you had a good life span previously why not replace like for like?

I went with can-fan max-fan pro series. There’s a three speed selector on the fan, but I need more control than it offers. I’m considering a variac, besides canfan, anyone recommend a brand?
