Clone swap?

Can we even talk about it here?

Like other swap meets, why not a clone swap meet? I guess it would have to be medical growers to be legal, or can recreational users share "legal" clones?

There must be groups of us that could get together in a parking lot somewhere on a saturday morning or something...

Where abouts do you live?

East of GTA, Durham Region...

Absolutely nothing illegal about swapping clones - just don't have more than 4 in your possession. I don't think I can get to the GTA anytime soon though...lol

So you arrange for 5 people to meet somewhere, each brings 4 clones of the same strain, but different than the other 4 people bring.
Give one clone to each of the other 4 people, they each give you a clone.
Each goes home with 4 new strains...

Would have to arrange in advance to make sure everyone has clones ready.

I don't see why that couldn't work. I'm think I'm going to steal the idea and try to start a clone and seed swap club on the island. Just a list of names and emails of people wanting to swap. Post what you have and see what others have to trade. A guy could really build up a variety quickly which is what I'm after at the moment.

I would probably try to keep any discussions of the location and time somewhat private, since you don't want angry bikers with guns showing up...

I "highly" doubt they are going to be angry about ppl rec growing, never know, they might be there to trade cuts too!

I'd be more concerned about the dumb asshole who shows up with male clones

Not much worry of that here...lol. We leave our doors unlocked, keys in the truck and hitchhiking is an approved form of transportation. That said, we look out for each other ...and there's only one way off this island and that shuts down at 10 pm.

I suppose we could trade by mail, figure out a good diy shipping container type thing... If the LP's can ship clones, why not us?

Yet to take one to harvest. But damn they grow huge. Nice plants too. And have that nice medial properties in them for the CBD.

I'm reading thru this and as a guy who has had years of clones gifted
This sounds like a recipe for mites
I don't trust close friends with my grow, let alone a group of guys I don't know
I hope it works out for ya but it just takes one mistake to wreck four grow rooms at once it seems

I would be very interested in getting to try that afgooey... is it the original clone only ? Did it come from a seed? How did you get that in Canada? Does it sap?

Getting clones from others is a risk, but I don’t see it anymore of a risk then bringing the car to top speed now n then.

I go to the worse rooms to fix them all the time, most are filled with bugs . You just need to control the hazards .

No different then getting salt water fish for a reef tank, them sob are quarantined for a couple months .


PM can not live in my rooms , conditions are all wrong n there’s just too much air movement. Watch your vpd. Watch your humidity spike at lights out , watch your air movement,
And remove some leaves.

easy deal to know and see if their are bugs and there are MANY ways to deal with this issue..
passing up a good clone of something you can find..its the chance you take so you learn how to deal with the bs that goes with it
only issue is that finding someone that will share their pride and joy... good luck

this is a great idea if ya ask me...now that its legal and all bwahahahha

Yeah, for me it would be worth it to build a small cabinet to quarantine a couple clones.

So who's up for a swap meet in the GTA east area? or even just the GTA...

I am in the Manitoba area. Would love to acquire some girls from someone. I had to tear my room down and properly clean etc. I had a male some how get introduced into my last grow. Not friggin happy. So all is tossed and not a fan from seed and and and. Plus my local clone source is always full of spider mite so I have to start off every time cleaning up their issues. So no biggie if I bring something in. Will quarantine and do a new grow with.

Let me know if anyone is willing to do a test mail run or whatever.
