Agree that root zine temp is a major factor.

I just use a seedling tray with perlite and an inch of water. Never need to mist, they won't wilt, no dome needed but they do take a couple of weeks to root.

I found when I moved house environment was a bit cooler so bought a heat mat with temp controller and it was brilliant at speeding the process, but I lent it out when u wasn't growing.

Take bigger clones too

What's a mini pyramid?
I'm always open to low maintenance suggestions :-)
It's the mini version of the Eazyplug Pyramid, should be about $6. Full size has a 10" base mini has a 4.5" base. You can check out my eazyplug grow in my sig.

The problem was definitely low temp, got a small heat pad as I could get it that day and the missus wasn't happy with me bringing the dome into the house for the kids. I had taken four clones the day before this post and they've all successfully rooted under it, so thanks to everyone who commented.

I will try a couple in a glass and look into the dwc option. Will I keep the glass in the house, I'm pretty sure temp has something to do with it in my shed and that's why I'm having so many failures.
Plugs clonex gel and a dome with a vivosun heat mat and the probe for temp.
Clone king(google it they are in USA)with clonex solution and gel a little tougher in warm temps often have to drop frozen water bottles filled 3/4 on the daily
t5 seem to be fine sometimes less light is more.
Clean sterile razors and rubbing alcohol on the dedicated cutting board( i use cheap plastic ones and wipe with rubbing alcohol before and after).
the cleaner the better.
TBH sometimes they don't take and some are harder to clone than others.
good luck

Near flowering is not the same as actually flowering and then if you take a clone during the first 2 weeks of flower you get a monster cropped clone which sends out crazy growth (in a good way)

As for the woody comment I get what you’re saying but there is always newer green growth to be able to take clones.

so sorry I don’t understand your description or reason as to why.

Edit
growing a mother in any way shape or form requires decent lighting to keep it healthy.

The way I’m doing it I use 24w of light to keep the clones I need going.

why would I utilise even more wattage than this when I’m already running wattage for flowering.
I only take one clone from a plant while it's in veg, and that's to make sure I have another ready incase I really liked the girl. Other than that I take all clones after flowers start to pop so I can get that crazy growth.
