Cops entered Home and found Personal Grow Operation

Hey guys,

like the title suggests, the cops had a "domestic violence" call due to a heated argument between two family members, and entered the house.

Upon entering they found the grow room and asked if anyone had a "permit" to grow this, to which I responded by showing my doctors recommendation. Once I showed it to them, they want back inside for about 1-3 minutes and then came out apologizing for the inconvenience and asking if we had any questions regarding the issue at hand. We all said no and everyone went about their day, until i went to get the mail a couple minutes later and I see the cop car parked across the street on a corner, plain sight, not hidden. (He left after another cop car pulled up next to him, one of the other officers that accompanied the two, referred to him as sergeant.)
We were also very cooperative and understanding with the officers, meaning we didn't try to get them to not enter as if we have something to hide, we just stayed neutral and respectful.

The problem I have is: What happens now?

I am frightened that they will pass this over to federal jurisdiction and have on my hands a federal case.
State Guidelines recommends 6 mature plants or 12 immature plants. I am in those limits.

Thank you very much for taking the time to read this,
Help is always appreciated

So you have a doctor's recommendation, and are within the state regulations?

What exactly are you worried about? I'm pretty sure your feds have bigger shit to worry about than some guy growing his 6 plants in a legal med state.

As true as that may sound, the whole ordeal left me anxious. I mean wouldn't you be worried if cops in your city knew where you grew exactly? It is still illegal under federal law as well, so I hope you understand my worries.

The cops were sitting there a couple mins later in plain sight because usually most cops sit in their cars right after an incident and do so.e quick laptop work then leave. Your all good dude. If they could have busted you they would have some it right then, they wouldn't take the chance of coming back and the grow being gone. Relax and blaze one

I don't think the cops care about the individual growing for themselves, legal or not. It's a waste of time. Take a look at how many hydroponic stores there are. It's all for weed! Maybe a small percentage is for veggies but you don't hear about small grows being busted. It's houses as grow ops etc.

I actually had to call the cops after my neighbor freaked out last summer. The neighbors told the cops right away that they think I'm growing. Cop came back to our place, asking about a grow op. I told him that we have a medical garden, and are licensed to do so. He didn't ask to see the garden, or even ask to see the paperwork.

I kinda know how you feel, I freaked out about it for a bit.

Absolutely. Thats why he asked if there was a cardholder. He was ready to take action if nobody presented one. Your good brother, fire one up and enjoy your rights.
You're right, I appreciate the help man!

Also if you wouldn't mind, I have a thread in Marijuana Plant Problems titled Healthy Plants?, if you could take a look and give me your thoughts I would be very grateful!

Update:
Thanks everyone, everything seems fine till now and it looks like no action will be taken. Just paranoia.

That would be like taking to you jail for following the speed limit. You don't have anything to worry about.
