Apparently the USSR today ( Russia ) invaded Ukraine. What the fuck is up with that? Unfortunately for the Ukraine, seeing as they are not a NATO member, it seems they are up shit's creek. Now NATO troops are amassing, plus an increase in American troop presence along the western border of the Ukraine. Sound's like a fucking board game, doesn't it. Unfortunately, it is a reality. Now though, Russia has invaded a sovereign nation that is critical for providing natural gas to the EU. What to do now? Increase sanctions, which have shown to have no effect, or provide military aid to the Ukraine and call the Ruskies bluff. But, is it a bluff, or are the Russians saying fuck you to the EU, you need me more than I need you. This is going to be interesting.

you cant change the stripes on a tiger..Putin is a hardliner and always will be....he is a commie at heart and retains the mentality as one..just like in the days of the Red army leaders..take what you want and need screw every one else....this will result in a great pissing match...and lots will be involved....all future conflicts will involve energy..with out it there is no exsistance in power

Ukraine doesn't provide natural gas to Europe, in fact Ukraine IMPORTS about 80% of it's gas from...........Russia.

Russia provides gas to Europe THROUGH Ukraine, and Turkey, and Poland.

Russia can turn the gas off at any time. Let the Germans freeze to death.

The EU needs Russia way more than Russia needs the EU.

ukraine was a part of russia for hundreds of yrs they are russian in their heritage and culture , some want to go home after they were givin away by russia

That is my point. Most of the gas flows through Ukraine, and that's the problem. If the supply get's disrupted by a war, there will be a lot more than frozen Germans, like frozen French, Italians, etc. Also, the ruble has hit the shitter in the last couple of days, and they need the money as much as the next guy. I guess they think the invasion is worth it, because they are starting to get fucked economically. Why do you hate Germans, by the way?

Then let the separatist move back to the motherland, because most Ukrainians seem to want to stay independent from Russia. This situation was created by Russia's annexation of Crimea, and is going to get worse. Putin is insane, and is becoming an international pariah.

Putin may get his way in Ukraine. He may not. However, if America fails to live up to its treaty obligations and defend Ukraine, none of our treaties anywhere in the world will be worth the paper they're printed on.

Our elected politicians have already jacked with America's credit rating, why should they treat our international reputation any different? After all, there's money to be made!

Currently the Supplies of Nat Gas intended for Ukraine are actually turned off because Ukraine owes $4.5 BILLION for the gas it has used so far. Since they don't pay their bills, they get to freeze, but will probably pay just as soon as humancicles start turning up.

How did you extrapolate that I hate the Germans? If the RUSSIANS turn off the gas the Germans will freeze to death since they are the largest user of Russian gas.

As far as a currency losing value? Happens all the time, even to the USA.

i dont think putin is in the wrong at all and btw the american mainstream media hasnt told the truth 1 time since all this started . america isnt going to do anything because russia has as many nukes as we doo and thats enough to kill everyone on the planet .

Putin is actually a pretty damn good president. He certainly isn't communist, probably the most democratic Russian leader ever.
It was PUTIN who talked Assad into giving up chemical weapons. I actually envy Russia's leader and wished we had someone like that.

When Gorbachev agreed to the re-unification of Germany, secretary of state Baker promised him that NATO would not expand eastward "not one inch". Ooops, guess that was a technicality since NATO has expanded eastward millions of inches since then. No wonder the russians don't trust our government.
