I store my weed in quart Mason jars that have the empty weight on them. When I want to use it I weigh out what I need in the jar. I put the jar in the oven on a cookie sheet with a wet towel to decarb. I then put the oil or butter in the jar with no water. It goes into a crock pot with water in it. When it's done I strain through a reusable coffee filter and press. The last thing I do is pour hot water over the oil or butter to get all of it out. Next day strain off the water. The butter is lighter green and tastes better. If you really want to get fancy you can melt the butter and add water. Another time in the fridge you drain off the water. Google weed wash. Using water when you are infusing causes more things that you don't want to infuse like chlophyl.

Sounds like a lot of time and effort...with the Machine....2 hrs cook time, strain into container and in the fridge it goes. 2 hrs in the fridge it's done and ready for use...2 oz of decarbed broken down buds + 4 cups of clarified butter + 1/4 cup of sunflower lecithin = 1lb of pretty and potent butter total time 4hrs

What did your machine cost. My jar was just laying around doing nothing until I started storing weed in it
