Current medical law

Trying to look up current medical laws. I have 1 patient at this time and most likely will not get more. Things seem too complicated and I prefer not to go to jail. Anyway. I put up a stockade fence with a wire top that I plan on growing 12 plants. When the plants are done I will dry and start the cure. I had planned on growing one time a year and supplying the whole years worth at a time. Now comes the problem. As far as I can tell I can only possess 2.5 oz of medical marijuana. Even if I had a bad year I should get more than 2.5 oz. What about the rest. I can't find anything more current on the Michigan site than 2008. Any ideas or information I could look at

Hey Rayi, I am in the same boat. I am looking for information on how much weight a caregiver can posses in a stored locked area. If you find anything please let me know and I will do the same for you. You can get 2.5 plus from a plant

Sounds good. The rec side you can have as much as you can grow. Seems medical would be the same for care givers especially if you are growing for 5 patients

Under Sec.8 of the 2012 House Bill 4851, language was added to address what we would call "overage" without an actual quantifiable amount provided.
"not more than was reasonably necessary to ensure the uninterrupted availability of marihuana...."

Again, this type of ambiguity, would have to be argued in defense. There can't be very many prosecutors willing to try cases with all these grey areas to deal with, unless you were really acting the fool, dealing to kids, thousands of plants, ect...
I'll look around some more, maybe by now there have been some cases with rulings.
I haven't looked in a long time.

I'm disabled and trying to help other people like people helped me but I can't afford to be the test case. Thinking about not doing medical and just doing rec. I can give away 2.5 ounces to anyone

Here's something to consider. Unless you are acting completely foolish, the likelihood of authorities getting involved in your affairs is very slim. What it comes down to, is the attitude of the local law enforcement, and prosecutors. Do you live in a larger community? Are there Licenced growers, or Provisioning centers nearby? I've always been of the mindset, that there are enough loose cannons out there, trying to skirt around the regulations, and still not facing consequence, that staying in compliance will keep me in the clear. I don't know what it's like in your area, but in my neck of the woods, I've seen Caregivers advertising on Facebook, pictures of gardens and all...If they aren't getting heat, I have nothing to worry about.
On a personal possession level, the way I see things, there is really no possible distinction, whether or not you have medical marijuana, or recreational marijuana.

I'm rural. Seeing a cop is rare but several growers have been ripped and the police will not even say sorry. My county has 6 people in the compassion club. The county seat has refused to allow rec sales and has one medical that is outside the city.
