Dang Fly hatch

Repotted a week ago. Added a mushroom compost to my normal soil so Im sure thats where they came from as it was the only thing I've changed and never used before. A week later Ive got these big flies. Looks like a housefly on steroids. But still half the size of a horsefly. Hung up some fly strips and got a few. A couple other drowned in my watering bucket. I sent a few to fly heaven myself but they like to land on my leaves. God knows what they are doing there.... but they gotta go! I heard add diatomaceous earth to top of soil and I see some fancy electronic fly traps on Amazon. Anyone else ever have this problem and how did you rid yourself of them? I cant repot fresh

I've put aluminum foil on my pot tops to stop the problem from getting out of hand. Idk what bug it is, im more interested in helping you get past the problem. Wrap the foil up around the stalk, tape around pot edge if needed...seal that puppy up

I like that, good call. That will teach them fuckers good. Listen to mudballs, really good advice, interrupt their cycle without spraying. Need more thinkers like that, make the world better for everyone. Thanks again cudos to you.
