Decided to try Beekeeping and the TBH this year.

Here's a few pictures from the truck wreck I talked about earlier in the the thread.


My friend is 6'4" and standing approximately twenty feet away the swarm.




You can see how much the branches of the Live oak are bending, that's a lot of bees!

We have local honey here where I live. Supposedly it helps your imune system or something. Or something with alergies. I forget. haha.

Went out again today to see what was happening in the hive. Everything looks good. First time seeing larva and hatched cells. Cool shit.

I think I need another hive or two.

Today’s pics. Didn’t see the queen today, but saw some new cool stuff. I added a couple blank bars between straight comb again. It’s working really well.

How are the bees doing?

I'm jealous. Have a ton of bees but no clue where they live. I would love to have a hive and collect honey. Bee keeping is another hobby I want to try but still on the back burner. I bought some Mason Bee's and put up a bunch of tubes, had a container of mud but never got them to stay around. I'm going to reposition the accommodations and purchase some more Mason and some Leaf Cutter bee's. If that's successful I'll look into Honey Bee's the following year.

I wish!!! I live in the City of the Mouse. They deliberately made it illegal to keep them. Can't wait to move.

You should, it can be difficult, sometimes even frustrating, but also super rewarding. They are mesmerizing to watch, beekeeping is a continuous learning experience.
I think oftentimes the best things in life have a high failure rate.
