Deep Blue F3 - F4

Deep Blue F3 - F4. From Breeders Boutique.

Planted 20 seeds to find a decent girl, (and possibly, boy) to move the strain to F4 stage. I may use Jake Blue our stable Deep Blue stud as I have a sack of sticky from him.

Anyway, original plants were selected for smaller bushier size, deep colour, fat long leaf structure (nice deep green colour like the livers), fruity buds, short flowering and nice relaxing buzz. Looking to bring the same thing out in the F4.

So here are the seedlings I planted. All 20 came up.

Since then I have weeded out 5 that I have left in a tray outside to do whatever.

Then from that lot I had these 12 favourites.

Then it's basically down to these 10. The other lot are okay but not really anything to write home about, e.g small, stunted, twisty leaf, a bit of early stress, etc.

They are all in 12/12 light schedule at the moment and will remain in that. I'll update the progress as we go along of course.

Peace,

first poster :D

my two phenos i kept are very hungry girls indeed, one is stocky and doesn't grow above 3 ft tall, the other is very much like cheese, if left alone they turn into christmas trees.

i nearly tossed one because it was practically albino for the first two months of it's life, luckily for me i kept her and after realising that my base nutes at max strength couldn't keep her happy i added some extra nitrogen and BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM.

they both provide very dense buds which smell very sweet ranging from liquorice/ aniseed to rotting fruit and tones of sour milk. the nitrogen whore out of the two turns purple very easily.

both phenos have humongous fan leaves when left to veg and form big spear buds when grew in sog style.

i think the strain is perfect as it is but if you feel there is something that can be done to further improve it then i will be very interested to see the results.

i'm subbed anyhow, good luck D.

GHB, excellent first post sir. I have also encountered this albino phenotype you speak of. One of the things I would rather not have in the f4. And thank you for you kind comment. funny this is I have found some people to be snoby about generation level. So this is what we will overcome as well.

Forgot to add that this experiment is in another dimension so flaunts the 5 rule thing.

Potted the selected one up into 3.5 litre square pots. They'll stay in these for the rest of the grow I think. They are good for gowing on my shelf system in the vertical cab.

Here they are in the early morning sun getting a bit of wind between their sails. (oh, I added another 1 to the 10 as it was a little runtish, but is doing okay. So that's 11, which is prime....lol)

Peace, DST
