It was pointless but do you really see any long term harm as long as it can recover under veg photoperiod? I am not being rhetorical but what kind of reaction do you expect indoor? Outdoor, this would just slow it down.

Nothing is going to happen as long as you don’t switch to flower. All you’ve done is reduce the vegetative biomass. As long as it’s under 18/6, it will just grow back.

If you’ve already flipped to 12/12 you will have severely reduced your yields.

What is his justification for this advice? Why would he convince you to defoliate your plant before it has even starting budding? I am not trying to be combative — I would legit love it if you would ask him why he would have you kill your plant’s solar panels right before it needs them most.

Also if you flip next Friday you may as well flip now — you’re wasting that plant. There is no way it will recover the necessary foliage in a week. Is your cousin fucking with you? Is he into practical jokes? If he is the type of dude you pops out from behind doors with an axe then laughs, beware his weed-growing advice.

He said it would grow back in a week I’ll see what happens every grower is different he does have a nice operation going on though that most people would dream about that’s all I will say so I listened to him

Yeah wait a week to ten days to flip and dont take any more leaves off. You planning on putting up a trellis or...?
I would probably do a pretty extreme supercropping of that and bend it over like half way down the plant. You dont have a very even canopy.

Different phenos of the same strain can yield pretty different amounts. Some strains dont like much training/abuse where others thrive off it.

I was gonna ask you how I would I use the net with half of my plants being half as small but I guess the obvious answer is to let them grow into right ?

The downfall would be an extra week or two longer veg to regain the fans, if photo.
The other downfall could potentially be a week or two of extra growth if auto.
Imo defoliating that much at one time will have a slight impact no matter what situation you’re in.
Yeah, photos are more forgiving, just let her rip for a few extra weeks and roll on.
You’re on an autos time and almost every slip up counts.
