Did I make an oopsie?

somewhat of a new grower here.
Got some questions
So I have 6 girls on week 8(flower,) I was under the impression the strains I have were 10 weekers so I started shooting powder about a week ago. They have only gotten the first dose.

Well two of them look done. Milky white trichombes. However one of them still has long white hairs. I'd say maybe 70/30 are amber. The one without long hairs I'm going to start flushing asap. My questions are.
are the long white hairs because of the shooting powder? Or is that normal this close to harvest. Or is it just not done yet? Even tho the trichombes are milky white.

How important is shooting powder to overall yield? And can I give my other 4 plants the other 3 doses in one week? Or is that counter productive?
Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks boys!

Imhe, They sometimes stack on a little extra when you run p/k late, run a little too much early and sometimes they force ripen.

If growing from seed, the best thing you can do is observe before adding anything.

You may wish to experiment with the shooting powder on just a few plants. The reasoning is that too much phosphorous in late flower tends to have a very negative impact on flavor and flower structure. You may get greater yields but at what cost?

Anytime I use a PK booster I only use it during weeks 4 - 6 and I use it sparingly. I have noted that just one feed with 0.5 grams of MKP added to a gallon of normal flowering feed will causes a distinct change in smell within 24 hours.

Thank you!! Good stuff.

I am growing from seed. You mean the best thing I could have done? Or best thing as of now?
Both or in general, im not a fan of feeding or doing things by schedule, with clones yeah sure but not from seed due to different genetic phenotypes.

I won't use any booster if its not needed & yes it can effect final flavor like renfro mentioned.

flowering time with seeds is definitely not set in stone, so before you flush or whatever you do (I'm against flushing lol) you should observe for the early signs of ripening first, same with feeding.

People will have different ways of doing things even if they all make the same results so advice is tricky sometimes.
