Don't just go by the trichomes you see through a microscope. There are many things that can cause the trichomes to turn amber before the plant is ready. There are lots of people harvesting early because all they're going on is the trichomes when visually it's obvious that the plant isn't done.

I have been using a Meiji Techno MT-31 LED Digital Microscope which is compound type 1.3 MP durable microscope. The microscope is built to last and packs a punch with several first-rate features. It is also easy to use, handle and store because of its compact build and ergonomic hand grip. with a powerful magnification that ranges from 40x, 100x, 400x, 1000x you could make the most out of this microscope including biological use in a laboratory. You can try this out.
