DIY high CFM bars for grow tents

You could go to the hardware store and buy some 1/2" EMT conduit, it's cheap and easy to cut with a fine tooth hacksaw. Use a drill press, press vice and a small hole saw, the same diameter as the vertical tent tubes, to cope the ends of the tube so that it fits snugly in between the vertical poles on the tent. Drill a 1/4" hole thru the conduit, maybe 1/2" from the cope so you can use a zip tie to fix it to the vertical tube. Use a file to deburr the ends so they won't tear the tent fabric.

Have used long garden canes and elastic bands before, just tuck them between the fabric and existing frame worrk
It doesn't take much to stop the fabric sucking in.

Mine tries to suck the poles inward, not just the tent fabric. lol I did use a big blower tho, got it slowed to 30 volts on a variac. Can't hear it run.

I have a few thoughts... One is threaded rod with something like vinyl hose around it.. but the problem i think is

I would want to slip it behind the bars . this would cause them to bow

Ideally, if I could bridge the bars, in a rectangle (or square) depending on the chamber, I could build my own cfm bars.

I like the idea of fishmouthing the EMT renfro. That may rip the fabric though. I see deburring the ends but i would feel better if it wasnt such a thin metal being shimmyd in there

My fear is with some of the materials listed, the cost may start climbing on you. The emt is cheap and I think it will work well if you are able to clean up the ends on the emt or maybe put some reinforcement cloth on the tent fabric right at those spots, maybe an old school denim iron on patch lol.
