DIY QUARANTINE GROW

Hi guys I'm looking to start growing 2 autos in a DIY 160 x 40 x 40cm grow tent. Everything is starting to take shape in my head, the trickiest part seems to be the ventiltion. I've done some research but i'd like to hear from people who've actually done it. How strong of an inline fan would I need for 2 plants? Not looking for anything expensive. I'm on a tight budget hence the DIY vibes but I also want to do it right. Would the fans on these links do the job?

Dude, first up 40cm x 40cm (i assume the 160 cm is height?) - you ain't getting 2 plants in there space wise. One will fit and you'll need to keep her heading up rather than out, but given you've only got 160 height that's gonna be a challenge. In terms of ventilation you didn't tell us anything about the lights. This is essential so we can work out the heat etc and thereby answer the question on the fan. I'd have a passive intake at the bottom and put your extraction at the top of the other side (again assuming your cupboard is square). You also need to think about the airflow, to much extraction will reduce humidity (i have this problem right now) and you also want a fan blowing across the plant to stimulate micro fractures (and repair) and also capillary action to move water around the plant, this helps you plant grow a strong core structure to support bud weight later :)

Just buy a fan controller if it's too much?

Bro don’t plant two. I have a similar box that I made I barely have space for one plant. For two I’ll be okay when they are small but when flowering it’s going to be so hard and you’ll have a hard time figuring out what to do. Best thing is to go with one. This is 45x45x150

Put a fan exhausting out like a pc and one in on the bottom. Push pull, cheap, easy, low noise. You might even have them laying around. Passive intake works also but two fans will be more reliable in case on fails.

also those are led light bulbs I see in there. Remove all the plastic deflectors, i am currently making a small array of led like you for a small test plant. Take the plastic off the led bulbs and they will direct all the light downward and also let the heat away from the leds to rise faster to be exhausted.

Roger that, I was using a bunch of small leds for veg and realized that by taking of the plastic I got alot more light where I wanted it and was able to direct it instead of trying to reflect it. In other words the bulb was meant for something different like lighting a room. Taking off the plastic allows the girls to get exposed directly to the light and the light is focused where you want additionally. Good luck, go slow, the plastic can be sharp. I simply worked mine off with my hands pulling it each direction broke the silicon they used.

Not sure if help is still needed, but I have a 40x40x140 piece and simply use two powerful modern PC fans. Extraction is at 2000 RPM/60 CFM and intake is at 1000 RPM/40 CFM. It works pretty well, but you can only get two plants in there if you plant in 7 liter or 5 liter pots. 5 liter will work better.

I now have a plant in 12L pot in there and it's tight. The canopy is literally square, lol.
